Hi Chris. Im guessing you have a Walnut stock on the HW100, which is normally finnished with oil, not laquer. If it is, then no problems mate, start off with a medium paper to get rid of most of the dings, then use a fine wet and dry paper dipped in the stock oil to finnish off. Then add more oil to the whole stock, palming it in. I use English Walnut Oil preperation and CCL Gunstock Conditioning oil both good. They may even come out with a wet cloth and an iron bud, depending how deep and big they are Bill.

It's got to be gas for convinience but you can't beat that solid fuel taste Hi Andy. A true outdoorsman you are, and to recognise the bennifits of both fuel sources is brilliant. Ill go with taste over convenience every time, a small luxury in an outdoor enviourment is so appreciated. ATB. Bill. Something I love doing is cooking over a proper open fire. I've only managed it once this year when me and my mate Paul camped over on Pianomans permission. It took me back to being a lad, camping and cooking with my Dad when we'd been out shooting and snaring. -

I've been thinking along the same lines, take a look at this link: http://www.ghillie-kettle.co.uk/ Only problem is they don't do them in a pink camo to match my hunting outfit. Hi Mary. Excellent bits of kit, seen many of these while on outings on Dartmoor, families and walkers picnicing. Could you not take it to a custom paint shop for the Pink camo ? Im sue Mike could do it Bill -
Sent away for Primos Crow call. Went it arrived , I was immediately taken, and impressed with the build quality. Frightend the life out of my wife, when I blew it without warning in the front room This thing is loud, said to be the loudest, and I am looking forward to trying it out in the fields. Having said that, you can control the volume by the amount of air you blow through it. Very soon with the colder weather setting in, the old Crows will be more interested in a free meal of a gutted Rabbit, hopefully be able to call them in. They have quite a wide range of calls and are cl

Cookers ?.....now theres a thing Although its nice to have a permanant arrangment for home use, I would give serious thought to a mobile unit that could be utilised in the field for when campfire cooking is not a viable option. Choosing the right model is proving to be quite a headache ATB. Bill.
