  1. Hi Festa. All jokeing aside, you must be very proud of her, excellent shooting!! Bill.
  2. Hi Lex. Well.....cant say he did, and cant say he did'nt. Shooting foxes with a 12ftlb rifle I think is irresponsible, and can not guarentee a humane kill. It show's little regard or respect for the quarry FAC 25/30 ftld at that range maybe, but not something I would do personaly. Rim fire or shot gun I'd say mate. By the way....this is only my oppinion Bill.
  3. ha ha  more like barrett 50cal... is that over kill...? Perhaps.........just a tad though
  4. Hi Lex. Rim fire?? .......was thinking more G.P.M.G or claymoor ......I believe in giving a sporting chance
  5. Hi Jack. Sounds like you had a lot of fun on the land rover, good training for young Royal aswell Great pictures, look's like some good ground there buddy, should be alive in the spring/summer. Forum's are funny thing's arnt they, it's nice when upset's between member's are settled without all the bickering, upset's are bound to happen from time to time, I think most realise when someone is having a bad day and is posting out of charactor. I think for you to admit a bad day, and apollagise for it, is a credit to you Jack. ATB. Bill
  6. Cheer's chap's. I did enjoy it just the same, even with nothing to show for the effort. I forgot to mention, that when I made the decison to pack up, I had a few shot's at my marker's just for the hell of it I have made the markers using pool noodles, what the kid's use for swimming support. I have cut 2" thick segment's and pushed 12" length's of bamboo into them, look's like a row of lolly pop's in the field but being yellow they show up well, and work a treat. Bill.
  7. Hiya Jack. Cheer's mate. Time of year indeed mate, roll on the Summer a ??....BBQ'd rabbit, with belly pork :piggy: ATB. Bill.
  8. After a lovely Sunday roast, I decided to have a bash at a bit of lamping. Got all the kit up together and made a flask of tea, then drove to the permission after giving my friendly farmer a ring to let him know Id be about. Got to the shoot at about 16.45. Walked up to the top of the field and picked my lay up spot. Cleared a few Bramble stumps and made my nest I put my backpack in clear view from where I would be shooting from, and used it to range find 35yds, where I placed my first marker, lazed back to 30-25-and 20. Markers out. I then settled down with a cup of tea, and
  9. Good observation on the earthworks mate, I'm studying archaeology and at first that rang alarm bells, the flooring looked potentially as old as the Romans if not before, however could be as new as the 50's! Its good finding all little bits lying around, us human have half made a mess over the years! Jack Hi Jack. Cheer's mate. Your right we have made a mess, and sadly some of it will never be cleaned up....and some have the nerve to call it progress Archaeology....interesting subject, and I expect there is still so much more that has not been found yet. Good luck with the
  10. Do you think a bunch of flowers may crack it ?? .....or Kew gardens maybe
  11. yeah very much so, but for that money there are a couple of guns that are just as good hw100t is defiantly one... AA510sl is another...but i have had a go on a R10 and it does sit well in my shoulder... im not sure though as i have my gunpower storm that is well and truly suited to me now, i have done so much work on it (well when i say me i must say a thankyou to drum for sorting my valve stem, top hat, and a hybrid hammer system) but have just done some custom grips (like a glove) so i was thinking that maybe i should get a more compact pcp..... arrrr i dont know i would have my gn cabi
  12. hadrians wall was by far and a way the most intense thing i have ever done!! 84 miles in 4 days with full kit!! one of the days we covered 30 miles and 7 of them were in the dark! i honestly thought i was going to loose my little toes  as the blisters had taken most of the skin off of my toes... there was a really low point on the 3rd morning... still 2 full days of walking left when i took off my blister plasters puss and blood sprayed out of the open blisters  , 13 in total.... yeah that was really bad, still got the duck tape out and cotton wool and away we went.. i
  13. Believe or not Lex, they took it off the market back in the 70's, because they found that there was a large opium content in it ( think it was opium.....its a while back now ) We used to rub down with it before a good yomp
  14. Hi Lex. years are catching us up......too much hard work and not enough shooting I think... I bet the Hadrian's wall trek was nice. R10...hmmm I looked at it too, in left hand, but at the time BSA, and some frustrated owners were having a lot of problems, so I was put off getting one. A real shame, I think BSA dipped out on a lot of ptential sales because of it. Zini on here has one, and loves his. I dont know if the problems are sorted yet, might be worth waiting till the spring/summer to let the problem batch go through? Mind, having said that, I am so pleased
  15. Hi Lex.....me again. I forgot to say, dont know if you have tried before, TIGER BALM is excellent for muscle strains, get the red, its stronger than the white mate I think Boot's still sell it.......worth a go. ATB. Bill.
