Ridiculous statement, your saying in small fields in Ireland that's a better test than on big land total rubbish.!
A lot of hares die at hedges and dykes walls etc, as they have 1 eye on a dog and 1 on getting through an obstacle, they hesitate and get picked up.
A true test is a fit hare on open land that knows his ground, you make big statements like that, have you run both big and small land regular? A whippet greyhound would kill in small fields every week but that don't make him a well breed coursing dog.
