  1. I've got a WTC (3-10X50) on mine; simple and trustworthy - they come up second hand for less than your budget HTH
  2. I've got the Simmons WTC 3-10X50 if that helps. I use the HMR either during the day (mainly crow busting) or evening (mainly rabbits) so no use for an IR, also, as the HMR shoots flat out to 140 m I don't need the milldot / ballistic drop type of reticle. If you plan to do a lot of walking round your permissions with the rifle don't forget to consider the weight of the scope as well (I've been there with the hubble telescope as a scope - all I came home with was a hernia ) Smig
  3. Great rifles - the one I go for 9 times out of ten from my gun cabinet. One piece of advice though; make sure the bolt is fully down just before you pull the trigger!! Have fun
  4. Mt 22-250 is a Tikka M55 - & is currently the best rifle I've owned. I have heard of lots of people customising them, but to be honest, if it aint broke - why fix it ?
  5. 3 shotguns 2 rimfire rifles 1 centerfire rifle 1 air-rifle Don't tell the wife - she thinks I have 1 as they all look the same
  6. I guess it depends on the use - I used to have a 4-16*50 all singing all dancing scope but changed it to a 1.5*5X20 as I have found it is far better for me & what I use the 22 for (night shooting rabbits). One of my friends has a fixed 6*42 which is also good for night shooting but I can't get on with its reticle!
  7. Hi I use the Leupold version - previously to buiyng it, I used the cloth that came with the scope but found the pen clears the dust for more effectively with the brush and the microfibre polishing pad really gets a shine on the lenses. I don't use anything else now. Hope this helps Smig
  8. Hi I have the MTC 5-700, excellant peice of kit, I use it all the time. Smig
  9. I've shot with both but settled on the HW. Price was the main factor along with how it fitted me when out in the field. I clean it after every session and it's never let me down yet (touch wood!)
  10. Hi Mate Good to meet you Thanks for the sale; 10 out of 10 Cheers
