    I use a mixture. For factory loads gamebore rhino BBs for geese and Remington nitro 2s for duck But saying that your 10 may pattern the above shells different to myne. I mainly use homeloaded cartridges tho, fast steel 4s for duck and heavy bismuth and hevi shot for geese

    A semi can be loaded with just two cartridges and a breech flag can be used to show its unloaded and safe. Traditionally s/s are used but many use o/u now I have been on many keepers days with the 'normal' folk, no snobbery involved and most use semi's, no accidents and plenty birds shot sportingly

    12 gauge 3 shot 3 chokes and key in original wallet Used and has some scratches on the action, marks to bluing but overall pretty tidy for age. Good solid workhorse capable of handling 3inch magnum shells. Check reviews, great guns.     Have you tested the new stuff? Hevi shot is a lot better but 54g bismuth 3s carries enough energy and patterns well enough through the ten at 50yard

    Bismuth is not shire...the original bismuth fractured on firing but the updated stuff is a lot better. I have used a lot through the 10bore and it kills them when hit in the right place at sensible range

    They usually fly to feed at dawn and return to roost at dusk but the moon can affect feeding patterns I would get there and set deeks well before light, random family groups a few feet apart. A good caller is usually worth having but practice before you use in the field.

    Head east..findhorn and Lossiemouth. Quite a few places to shoot north and east of Inverness, just huge expanses so difficult to be in the right place. Best bet is to walk/drive along coast at flight times and watch for birds moving.

    Hi folks Just to let you know that the Ythan estuary in Aberdeenshire is now owned and managed by a club. YEWCA was set up before the start of this season and unfortuanatly all the members places have been taken now. Just to let you know, before you travel up to be let down. Cheers Matthew That buggers!! up my annual trip..been going there a week or 2 every season for years now. I knew it would happen sometime. No chance of weekly permits like montrose etc.??
