well guys i need your on something, my beddy is 14 months and up until a week a go or so he wont retrieve a ball or anything,he doesnt even get excited he just turns his head and wont chase when i throw it or will jog half way then just look at me like a gawmless this is where it gets wierd, he will retrieve anything to my dad and he even gets excited with him?! my dads says get a new toy and he will be back as usual with you ,your thoughts are needed on this so please post something

i have a beddy thats 19" and he's very responsive, they can be headstrong at times and just stand there looking away on purpose but their nose and allround ability make up for that in my eyes, btw my beddy is a as quick as a beddy/whippet and he's a pure one, he's lighter built than the other big ones though

what would you guys do the first time you take you sapling ferreting, net up or not?long net on the perimeter? thanks
-
well most of you probably know that ive been having a fair bit of trouble with my donkey of a beddy that stands at 19"!! ive put this on the lurcher section because i class him as one ,well a running dog, because he can pick speed up well and if you saw him you'd think he was a bed/whip hybrid. ive worked non stop on this dog and tbh he's starting to become a great rabbiting dog. he wouldnt come back as a pup and balls were just chewed when he got them and know he does everything bang on, he retrieves object at top speed, can sit or lie down waiting to be sent for a retrieve and returns on whis

ive had to put a dog on the long line becuase his recall has just dissapearedd dont know why or how it just went in the last couple of days, anyway wehen he's on the long line he knows he's on a lead so stays right next to me ,so giving a quick tug is only over a short distance ,anyone got any ideas? thanks for reading

tar bud, its only happened in the last couple of days he used to come back to whistle and voice, it told him to sit after we were back home and he didnt so pushed back end down and he spun round ,not to bite but to warn me if you get me , so put him on his side on the floor and stepped back he got back up so did it again and did the same thing so give him a quick shock and he stayed down this time then got up when i called him like nothing had happened, i think he thinks hes up in the heirachy because my old man can take him out and he's bang on, which is a bit annoying cus hes my dog and ive

my beddy dog has just turned one in august and the last couple of days he hasnt been listening as in running away and not coming back and just standing there half a field away staring blank, he went through the adolescent stage at the 6 month mark could he have another boot of this?would putting him back on the long line be the best choice? thanks for taking the time to read this
-
thanks bud, i didnt want it to have its last memory the inside of a water butt or something like that so i will give him a chance in life
-
just wondering if anyone could give me a few tips , well a friend of mine rescued a ferret off of someone who wasnt looking after it i.e. didnt feed it ,house it properly or handle it. anyway my friend has found that he hasnt the time for the polecat coloured hob anymore and seeing as i work ferrets he asked me if i would have it, hutch ,ferret and other stuff for nothing ,cant turn it down really and hopefully he can be working this season, thanks for reading this

just had him down the alley way with the dummy and he retrieved it straight back to hand how long should i keep him on this?
-
thanks guys he just turned one but still puppyish in everyway except size, i just dont want to be stuck with him not retrieving game, i would like him to be a rough shooting dog as well so retrieving is a must!
-
my young dog will retrieve a ball right up to hand , yet once i use a rabbit skin or dummy he'll retrieve one or two then just chew then, should i do it in the alley way with the long lead on or something else? and does this mean he wont retrieve a rabbit in the field? thanks
