  2. Initiate a Parliamentary enquiry into the UK Insurance Industry The UK Insurance Industry currently operates under policies and practices which are in direct contrast to the interests of its customers. The practice of involving multiple entities in any single claim or transaction creates unnecessary and often huge costs which are passed on to the policy holders or their insurer. Cases are often settled to avoid these costs inspite of no fault situations. This is perpetuating insurance fraud and a litigious culture

  7. i doubt the deer will know! that variance could be made up on a hot day vs a cold one I deliberately load my .243 with 100gr doing approx 2600-2700 for roe stalking.....mind you I am in Scotland
  8. I am putting this up for sale as I have my eye on a smaller calibre for foxes and my .270 does everything I need for deer When I took possession it was stripped, cleaned and renovated with re-oiling and steaming small marks out of the wood. rear and fore sight screw holes have been filled with custom threaded plugs. I have owned it about 18 months and it has shot approximately 120 rounds in that time. Very good condition with excellent bore condition. Groups very well with 100gr SP bullets. Rose wood Grip cap Just over 7lbs naked (no scope, mounts, mod etc) £200 face to face
  9. 1" tube Wide angle view few marks on tube under rings just superficial, not dented, crimped or scratched (reflected in price) This is the better quality Japanese made version do well on a .22lr or similar £25 email me: ed(at)ersg(dot)com as I dont come on here very often and dont get auto notification of PM/replies etc
  10. as above. new batteries, works fine, would benefit from additional IR laser/light source to get full potential. several on eBay for £50-60 plus postage This one is yours for £50 posted email me at ed(at)ersg(dot)com as I dont get auto email notes to Pm or replies from here and don't come on very often
  11. they cant anneal them after the neck sizing because they are primed at .22WMR on the same machines that they use for the earlier case variant. they are primed and then sized. that said they could easily anneal them before they are primed!! prime them then size the neck. its a cost thing. what do you think that would do to the already ridiculous prices you pay for HMR ammo? it would kill the round in my opinion who is going to pay £25-30 for a box of 50
  12. any split in the case before can allow moisture in Lot of people here who seem to disbelieve there is a problem just look through a selection of these: http://www.google.co.uk/search?ix=ieb&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=hmr+problem#hl=en&safe=off&sclient=psy-ab&q=hmr+ammo+problem&oq=hmr+ammo+problem&aq=f&aqi=g-m1&aql=&gs_l=serp.3..0i5.9774.15145.2.20487.4.4.0.0.0.1.181.657.0j4.4.0...0.0.9FJxodjvWDA&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=f9cdab9b2f3592a9&ix=ieb&biw=1024&bih=509 there is a reason Hornady themselves h
  13. dont be daft, half the entries in the spread sheet is made up of splits before they are fired thats the problem IMO, cases are letting in moisture which is causing anomolies in MV or misfires, squibs etc either way, do us all a favour and log them. if we can demonstrate a constant issue with quality control then there is at least a central log of issues rather than "mine are fine" and "my mate once had a squib" too many barrels are being replaced and rounds returned
  14. After thinking about it for ages I have pulled my finger out and put up a public spreadsheet. Please add your batch numbers and details of split neck, misfires, squibs etc. I have started off the proceedings from another post on here I have put this up on Pigeonwatch, BBS and Stalking Directory Please feel free to repost anywhere else. If Mods can sticky this it would help I personally would be interested if there is a common theme between manufacturer/brand and/or batch number and the problems associated with poor QA https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au0f-ch1y
  15. this chap has been banned on a load of other sites. buyer beware
  16. 60 yds gives a better PBR of 2" target out to 75-80yds
  17. what ammo? 17 or 20gn? sako quad, roughly an 1" at 130yds
  18. you dont say why you want a change. I have the Quad too and the trigger was dreadful until I stripped it and tuned it. much nicer and lighter feel and now a clean break. no creep, wonder if it is just something that needs fettling. I also have the four barrels. For the price of a barrel you could have your cake and eat it so to speak. I like the .17M2 as it is MUCH cheaper than the HMR, doesnt destroy anything inside 100yds and headshot bunnies are actually edible. this and the HMR are much better on crows than the solids/gamepoints on offer for the .22. The .22 WMR is also che
