  1. ANY HELP OR INFO WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED. TRI COLOUR BEAGLE DOG 10 MONTHS OLD, JUST HAD A RECENT OPERATION ON HIS EYE, WAS STOLEN BETWEEN 4.15 PM - 5.00 PM ON 13/06/08 FROM KENNELS IN THE LLANHARAN/BRYNNA AREA, SOUTH WALES. NO OTHER DOGS WERE TAKEN FROM THE KENNELS THE BEAGLE WAS KENNELLED WITH TERRIERS, BUT THEY WERE LEFT THERE. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANTED. IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE WHO HAS JUST RECEIVED A BEAGLE WITH THIS DESCRIPTION OR YOU KNOW OF ANYONE TRYING TO SELL ONE, PLEASE PM ME SO I CAN PASS THE INFO ONTO THE OWNERS. ANYONE WHO

  7. Just to let everyone know. My dog didnt make it, he died early hours this morning. The vet phoned to say he wanted to put a camera inside him, as he didnt think he would make it through the night, he thought there maybe a blockage or a rupture. After all the diarrhoea, he was in such a weak state, I think the anaesthetic was too much for him. The vet said he has never seen a dogs intestines looking so bad, he did mention that he had a similar case a few years back and that dog had been poisoned, if that was the case he said whatever treatment they could have tried, the vet said he was
  8. Vet thinks its highly unlikely to be parvo, as he is up to date with all his vacinations and the diarrhoea and vomiting did not have the distinctive smell that is associated with parvo. The vet explained that parvo doesnt actually kill a dog, its the dehydration and kidney failure through dehydration that is responsible for the dogs dealth. The vet seems to think it is haemorrhagic gastroenteritis, and the success rate is all according to how quick you can get the dog rehydrated and dosed with antibiotics. hopefully he is on the road to recovery, will have another update mid morning
  9. I hope your dog gets better soon as well mate.
  10. Thanks for everyones comments. Just to keep you up to date, dog is still in vets on IV drip and antibiotics. The vet seems to think it is haemorrhagic gastroenteritis, as the vet has checked everything else, and they have come back inconclusive. His WBC is low and his kidney parameters are high, and with his high temperature it suggests a bacterial stomach infection. If he had a low temperature it would suggest a viral infection. Still got my fingers crossed, not out of the woods yet, but he is showing a slight improvement. The vet is waiting for the diarrhoea to stop and then he w
  11. My 8 month old suluki greyhound x bull greyhound has been off his food since Friday. Went down the kennel this morning and this is what confronted me in his kennel run when I opened the gate. He was feeling very sorry for himself curled up in his box, he had been vomiting and passing blood through the back end. Was straight on the phone to the vet, dog was down the vets within the hour. Vet had a feel around to see if there was anything lodged in his throat or stomach, couldnt feel anything. He had a high temperature at 104 c, they are keeping the dog in overnight to rehydrate him and anti

  14. I usually leave about 6.30pm because we have a 2 hour drive. We usually call to the first farm around about 8.30pm, and then we travel on then to the next 2-3 farms and we start lamping about 9.30pm and then we work our way back through the farm and we usually get home around 2am. As soon as its gone dark and quiet the game are out and about, we have had foxes before 10.30pm.
  15. I PURCHASED ONE OF THESE HATS FROM TITCHY69. I WENT TO HIS SHOP TO COLLECT IT. HE HAS A GOOD BIT OF KIT IN HIS SHOP, WORTH A VISIT, OR ASK HIM IF ANYBODY IS IN NEED OF ANY GEAR (JACKETS, TROUSERS, ETC). TRIED THE HAT OUT THE OTHER NIGHT WHILE LAMPING, ITS LOVELY AND WARM WITH THE FLAPS DOWN OVER THE EARS AND NECK. THE LIGHT CAME IN HANDY WHEN OPENING AND CLOSING GATES, CLIMBING UP OVER HEDGE BANKINGS INTO OTHER FIELDS. IT ALSO WORKED OUT GOOD WHEN THE DOG RETRIEVED GAME, SAVE PUTTING THE BIG LAMP ON. WELL PLEASED WITH THE HAT GOOD BIT OF HANDY KIT. CHEERS TITCHY69
