    Thanks all shes now sound again I think the pottasium permanganate has done the trick I kept on soaking her foot and the swelling has now gone aswell as the lameness and what was left of the nail has changed colour she has been for a check up today and vet is happy. Thanks millet :-)

    Update on bitch. Its been a few weeks since she had the nail off. The swelling of pad has not gone down but she is walking on grass with no lameness until she walks on stones or rough tarmac then its onto 3 legs. I have been soaking her paw everyday in potassium permanganate as suggested. The toe is not swollen itself but the pad is quite large underneath not sure what to do now apart from take her back to vets for possible amputation of the toe .

    I had her to local vets on wednesday again who said I now had to wait 2 weeks for an xray then to take her toe off I said there was no chance of waiting that long its been long enough. I took her to another vets I use which I should of done in the first place but they are quite far away and they took her nail off there and then they said the nail had a slight fracture at the nail bed and didnt think she needed toe off as that nail was the problem which the other vet did not even notice. More antibiotics and keep it clean fingers crossed that should be it fixed. Thank you for replys

    Shes always had problems she hasnt got the best of feet I have always washed them with salty water after being out. Not had infectin like this one though its a nightmare

    Does anyone know anything about them. My bitch has now been lame for 6 weeks. She has been on antibiotics and anti inflammatories for 3 weeks. Im sure its a nailbed infection due to swelling of pad and nail is going black at top but vet says the meds should of worked by now I think toe is getting worse not better .shes on yet another weeks course then in for an xray. I have been bathing foot in hibiscrub is there anything else I can do ?

    Did he not shoot 3 times with seconds in between. Once in her hip one in her arm and one in her head which had also gone through her hand. Surely after the first shot he would of heard it was her. Dont think any judge could believe he didnt know it was her could they .Would u go to the toilet while robbing someones house . Malt is right she had locked her self in makes me angry as to why they are still going on with the trial after the utter crap he talks.

    The lad we get in for deliveries did 10 drops for 470 quid which i think isnt bad. It took him 29hrs.

    Took one of mine to the vet last year for this as I had tried everything . She gave me some shampoo and told me to give her a daily dose of piriton said it is a seasonal alergy. I have started her on the tablets again this year and so far so good.
