Yes darbo thats same as me i lamp anything n run anything wether it b day or nite. N i dont mean anything like i dont giv a shit n im rekless before anyone says owt its jus a figure of speech. I also use my dog ferreting n even with my shotgun the odd time i go out. I always find it a plus [bANNED TEXT] one bird or summit aint quiet dead n on the floor n runs off there aint much that can outrun a lurcher. But maybe i jus do too much or expect too much. This is how i av always had n used my dogs n wudnt change it at all. Also [bANNED TEXT] i go with me mate whos big into guns i take me dog lamp

Hi there i have read a few posts on here n im suprised how many ppl class lamping dogs and daytime dogs as two differant kinds. I dont know if its jus me but my dogs have always been used for daytime and lamping if they couldnt do both then they wernt for me. But i just thought that was the normal thing i av never heard of anyone classing daytime n lamping differant

bull greyhound performance/looks your opinions?
PhilProp replied to CallumDonohoe's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I disagree with the comment on they cant handle certain work constantly as i can show u mine and u put it nxt to any half cross n it will stay. I lamp invetween 2-5 times a week n for about 5 hrs n yes they have b fit as u dnt want a tired dog findin itself on summit n its too tired but i go with lads with half crosses etc etc n most of them do the same as mine but jus more power. Its not the size of a dog its its commitment n heart to do it. -
My opinion of a bullx is any sort of sighthound i.e greyhound, saluki, deerhound, whippet etc etc. put to a bull wether it be a 1st cross or 2nd etc but nothin less than 1/4 bull. Thats jus my opinion.
-
I av a racey bull x. He has run with some good dogs saluki. Greyhound. Deerhound etc and never been left behind n even left a few in the pace n stamina department too. But im unsure how to get pics from iphone to here. He is very game n single handed on everything too

Precisely [bANNED TEXT] i was implyin. Even if its a foldin shovel they will drop a bloke lol
-
Never been around ludlow but if a keeper told me that id ignore it n do it anyway. N if he caught me then u know hea goin give u a kickin so dnt give him time to even get his fist up n hit him first with wotever u can if hes bigger. I av been round newport with me terrier some good digs there but all accidentally of course as i only ever walk my dogs over non permission lol
-
Well i am a farmer and i use one of the pulse boxes that u use to run the mains for cattle fences. N the box is safely in my house so u can touch or deactivate it. Also if u breifly touch it it wont bother u but wer it is u will have to touch it for a while n ull b hangin on a 7 foot wall n them certainly be lettin go once it gets u. Its one of the pulse ones that dont affect the heart so i gt no worry of killin anyone
-
Lol im in staffs area i had some attempt nik my dogs in pure daylight but my terrier in a funny bitch so she was barkin n i went out to see a bloke runnin round the corner so now i dnt let them out unsupervised but i have a secret weapon. I put a electric wire undermeath the edge of my top bricks so its turned on at nite now n wired straight to the mains. Never had any trouble since lol

I have some as i am slowly gettin out of the ferretin game. Some have been workin some are last years young But im in stoke on trent if tht any help
-
What area are u from Or lookin at
-
I tottally agree with you on that one. It really annoys me that all the young lads or youngish lads get tard with the same brush. I.e poachin n nickin stuff. Breakin fences. Running stock n jus being generally stupid. Back to the main thing i am now 23 n i have n can use most snares affectively, traps etc as i got raught by my grandad who loves his field sport and i think the young lads are jus missing guidance from the start or they realli are as stupid n careless as they seem.

I have been givin my treatment plan and there is no rest time or anything so maybe this one is a bit diff from some of the others. I went to a country vet who has alot of coursing ppl going there and one that is a greyhound vet and they all missed it
-
Well that rob spotted the problem straight away and there is no chance its wrong. Also been told he works at the top greyhound tracks around the country at the top meets too so cant be that bad.
-
Just been to rob and he is amazing n wel worth any trip mate. Sorted my dog n spotted the problem 3 vets missed in a couple of minutes. He give me instructions and a treatment plan. Very good guy and very nice to meet aswel
-
Just been and i was amazed hes found the problem n now i can vouch its an amazing gift
-
Cheers lads i jus rung him goin there tonite. So wots his rep like is he a good one. I never used one before so its a first for me

Hi has anyone got any ideas of a bone man in staffordshire area or even if there is a hood one around my area thanks
-
No not at all i got both bullx and terrier livin together dont bither each other. In the field they r fine and so r with other dogs even if there adrenaline is goin and they both on summit they know the differance mate Plus i think the way u bring them moulds them for life
-
Hi i am wondering if anyone has heard / used a vet called mike gilliard he is based in nantwich but traveled alot with greyhounds n track dogs. Apparently done alot of coursing and lurcher work and a vet has said his reputation is brilliant and very well recomended. I am wondering if anyone knows of him as i may require his help
