  1. Hello all

After the 2 digs in the last 2 days the last thing i thought i would be doing today was digging, had a phone call at about 12.30pm today my mate asking me if i could help them they were doing a bit bushing with terriers and a terrier had gone to ground with no locator in a bad spot, i was at work so managed to get away at about 2.30pm got changed and got some gear and took my old bull and terrier flynn the only one that hadnt had any action this week, spit, saw and shovel and locator got there in about 20mins got to spot my mate said the bitch had been in since 11ish that was nearly 4 hours so i had a walk around listen got a rough idea where dog was started to dig and the dog came out, it had been marked up so i decided to let flynn in, collared him up and away he went had a bit hunt about the i could here him on but just steady away and i could hear it was right under a monster tree, got a mark of 0.5 started to dig and couldnt even start tree roots evrywhere and big ones got the pick, saw and spit it took us hours i didnt think we were going to get down but you have to keep going chop and cutting and finally broke through a tiny hole, could hear flynn but still not right up close opened up as much as possible and got flynn out stood quiet for a bit for a bolt no chance must of been wedge up in the roots tight tried opening up a new hole behind no chance, so after opening up more just enough fox was persuaded out :whistling: then dispatched, so after a bad start one very happy mate and got me brownie with him and the farmer :boogie: so might get some more phone calls with a bit luck, as normal a few pics for u lot cheers ATB Simpson10

  2. Hello all again

Had a phone call today seen another fox early morning around the same wood, so me and a couple of lads had a run up after work, it was very hot so didnt think we would hit on, checked the same wood we dug yesterday nothing, then we went to a nearby wood there was signs of fox about a couple of dead pheasants, then we checked a spot that had cubs in this year, and got a solid mark from my other terrier chance, so i collared up and let him in, he hit on straight away, left him to settle it went silent so got a mark of 1.2 on the bellman, started to dig very easy digging with a few roots but nothing bad, broke through to chance at grips with his quarry removed dog and dispatched fox which was another vixen, had young bitch with me again who was desperate to be in, so after dispatched given to the dogs for a rag, to say the least one very happy land owner 2 in 2 days not bad, took a few pics again but was very dark in a tight wood and my blackberry doesnt have a flash, had to move to edge to get a pic of dog and fox but here u are cheers all.

  4. Hello all

We have had lots of rain today so had a look out with the dogs on some local permission, found one to ground shallow spot so let the young pup holly in, she has only had one previous dig and did very well, she flew straight in searched for a bit then she made contact, worked the fox a bit then she pushed into a stop end, i waited a while then got a mark of 1.0 on the bellman, so i opened up to find holly up close working her quarry, removed the dog and dispatched the fox then gave to the dogs for a rag, all and all wet but very good day took a few pics for yous to see hopefully she keeps it up this season but very happy with her for a young dog
