  3. I have a pet rabbit in wild colours he nearly 3 yrs old now I shoot wild ones all the time without feeling bad as they're pests after all, but I have a very strong bond with Buster he is a house rabbit fully litter trained and we only been apart once when he went to vet to have a small op I missed him so much it hurt, its weird but I am very protective of him and the bond is like you have with a dog I could'nt imagine life without him now,,,,,,,, The funny thing is the bloke it pet store said he was a dwarf cross breed so will stay small hahahahahahaha he's over 3 kilo's... this pic was wh
  4. Hi Phantom, chairgun4 (v4.0.8.) im using which has .177, .22, 0.17hmr and .25 only ?
  5. I need help with chairgun pro i have it on my laptop but cant seem to find how to tap in .20 pellets it just seems to cater for .177, .22, .25 and a rimfire round but when i had it some time ago on another computer you could choose any pellet size you required ......... Any help appreciated, also anyone know of a good .20 pellet i know there is'nt as many to choose from but would like to know what ones are pretty good tried and tested in many makes of gun / barrel Deano
  6. Yeah its weird how helpful they can be but it works which is surprising as a straight laser line and a cuvred trajectory of a pellet could'nt be so different, i have one with windage and elevation turrets much like a scope but its weird screwing the windage out which you would thinks is coming right actually makes the dot go left and vice versa with up and down, but the allen key ajust ones seen to be ok with turning out the screw allowing it to come right or up..... I first tried one shooting up into trees and downhill etc as a squirrel in a tree thats only say 10 to 15 yards away if your
  7. Have used a green laser which is fully visible in daylight, i set my scope at 30 yards so pellet on pellet then look at the same target with the laser on and set that the same so its dead centre of your cross hair at your zero range then when you see a target a quick press off the button if its further than your zero the green dot will appear above somewhat showing exact holdover and vice versa closer than zero shots the dot will be below a touch , i used one on my old stealth and it never let me down and always told me where to shoot so well in fact it was sometimes too easy........be aware t
  8. Well done, looks like there's a few fryers there ......... Deano
  9. Nice one, my only freebie i was given was an old smk custom lion what an old pig that was, i could throw a pellet faster than this old p.o.s. could spit out or should that be dribble out the end like an ant coming out of hibernation
  10. They all seem to favour my part of the woods as its private and very quiet and gets no walkers etc, in 12 years of shooting here I never gone home without one ever, I love them in pies or stews, it took a long time to get the courage to eat one as they are nearly always covered in fleas so used to leave them in an old outdoor freezer to kill the fleas then bung them to my ferrets but now I skin them in the woods after each session launch the left overs in the scrub for foxes to pick up that way nice fresh meat placed in freezer bags ready for freezer when I get home, I do the same with woodies
  11. Got these 3 this morning, woodland permission is great and litterally full of the little blighters, amongst other things......all got from just mooching around the wood spotting them getting in range and waiting them out as they always look to see if your still there which was their downfall.... Cheers, Deano
  12. Cheers everyone, I want it to be nearer the limit but not too near as even a simple new mainspring can bring them up way to much then all the pellet and chrony testing i just cant be doing with tbh..... Deano
  13. Cheers yeah does make sense, will have a look later tonight and have a play with it Deano
  14. I had one too once, and like Andy above said they need a good stripdown file all the rough burred edges etc re lube............I did the same sanded stock down to bare wood re stained in walnut dye then used 60% satin varnish and 40% white spirit mix and wiped on with a finger inside an old rag / t-shirt, buff lightly once dry then repeat process untill it looks respectable which is hard for the old B2 lol.......... Deano
  15. I have that chairgun on laptop but cant quite work out things like scope height etc is that height from scope rails to bottom of tube, or rails to centre ? or top of scope .... Also Im hoping to get new gun soon in .20 but it does'nt seem to have .20 on there just .177, .22, .25 if it can be changed for each pellet not found how to use yet lol Cheers, Deano
  16. I been told best pellets in pre charged are heavies and very light in springers, the lightest ones i found are Falcon accuracy plus at 13.43 grains and they are very good in this gun, my last pre charged was .20 cal and was using jsb exact at 13.73 grains so even the smaller calibre pellets were heavier than these but they are pretty good and being lighter give better fps etc Deano
  17. I been using a stoeger x20 springer with good results until i get a new pre charged, but even when I bought it a year or 2 ago it only was doing about 10 1/2 ft lb out of the shop but out to my 35 yrd max range it still had plenty of thwack against rabbits and closer stuff like woodies and squirrels. Since that time its slowly got less power probably due to main spring wear as they do, but I chrono'd it earlier and its around 10.3 ft lb but it still has energy at max range to cleanly take a rabbit which i been told only takes 3 to 4 ft lb to do but was wondering what would be the minimum m
  18. I like the 80's had a few over the years great guns, also had the hw95k also nice and a 97k but found that too heavy as im only a light weight person lol tx 200's also very good any of these will serve you well, Deano
  19. Cheers for the info everyone, will be looking in to it soon, Deano
  20. Thats very sad news, I really feel for you, I recently came back to it and had to find permissions again after a good few years break but managed to talk round old landowners who were very understanding, just think carefully before selling up, i did and regretted it and now have to buy all gear again, sods law I think they call it .........maybe keep your gun a while you never know things could all change on the permission front......usually the minute you sell up and call it a day, maybe try smaller sites like pasture as i did its not thousands of acres but thousands of rabbits .. Good lu
  21. This happened to me on many occasions, a plumbers wrench will free it ..... Deano
  22. I was told always be within 2" of first sensor as this gives you an accurate fps read out from the muzzle the further away you are the reading will be different but anywhere within 4" should be fine for most tests......
  23. Is there a cheapish night vision gadget that will fit on a normal scope that would work well at night, I thought I saw a post on this some time ago where you could buy a night vision attachement to fit over eye piece of any scope, Any idea's appreciated, Deano
  24. Cheers everyone, i like this type of tape as the fabric one leaves a right sticky mess behind when removed that only petrol / paraffin will shift lol.........
