    directions head south of penrith on the A592 which takes you straight to patterdale. if travelling from the south head to windermere then north on the A592. show starts at 12.30pm

    lurcher and terrier show at patterdale to raise funds for the ullsawter hunt, there is several classes for different breeds of terriers. i will be judging the lurcher class and i can be bribed quite easily . there is a beer tent and hot food on sale and there will be plenty of singing when the ale flows so come along and support the ullswater hunt. i will put up directions later, anti's are wellcome

    yeah tommy i know joey well and his dog cruise, it was a special dog and he only ran once on the fens in a match,at the time we mainly ran locally or around yorkshire, that line of saluki i would say was the best that has been around

    T. Griffin pure saluki ran well in 2 forley cups but the saluki x has proved the strongest in all of the competions and the coursing fraternity over the years

    well said stabs, it aint illegal in oz, the fox is an introduced species in australia and it has to be controled to protect species that are at risk down there.

    Lennard go for the saluki x but make sure they are from good working stock dont fall into the same hole that alot of people over here did 25yrs back by using untried saluki's, where you live at you could fit the fenland in a few times over lucky man

    i know some lads that have had the dogs vocal cords removed , ive even thought about it myself and went to the local vets which told me its unethical to have them removed, there is some vets that will do it but i went down the track on using the anti bark collars which worked out ok, i have one collar and i used it on each of the dogs but i made a replica to bluff them into thinking its the real one.

    just had a call off a lady saying that some one had left a lurcher bitch in her garden at Crook Co durham yesturday.. the bitch is a whippet x approx 22 inches brindle and looks about 5 yrs old in decent condition pm me if anyone knows one been lost or stolen
