Agreed mate, I just find it massively interesting (and hugely disappointing) getting an insight into peoples mindset about things like this. As you pointed out previously, many of the lads commenting “glad they got 5 years” would also be the same lads cheering on setting fire to potential immigrant houses in Dublin and fighting the Garda. I just can’t get my head round it at all……if they don’t understand that it wasn’t the JSO lads that got f****d, it was all of us, then there’s no f***ing hope at all ! Lol

The point of this thread isn’t if climate change is real, the point is that they are randomly locking up indigenous British people for 5 years for protesting in their own land……

The two draconian laws enabling many of these arrests – the Public Order Act 2023 and the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill 2022 – have vastly expanded police powers and undermined the right to protest. Daniel and his co-defendants were convicted under the latter, despite their protest never going ahead.

But they didn’t do any of those things, they stopped some traffic and put powder paint on some stones…… If anyone believes that any more people (or indeed any people) died in ambulances more than any other day because of these protests then they are thick as shit.

Again mate, nobody cares what YOU think is going to bring a prison sentence, do the research, it’s whatever the police commander on the ground (and his government bosses) decide it is at any given moment on the day…….

You are an angler, you are a worker of terriers……if they banned fishing tomorrow would you just take all your kit to the tip and say nothing mate ? Because I don’t think, having read your posts on here for years, that a lad like you would……if I had to sit in yet another U.K. traffic jam same as I have for most of my life because you felt a bit aggrieved and wanted to protest about it, should you get 5 years behind the door and your life absolutely destroyed ? Because I don’t think you should…..but it’s seems plenty of lads here would like to see you get exactly that.

The new government is going to stop licenses in the North Sea !…..and they still gave these people 5 years ! The Government: You’re white, you’re British and we are going to give you 5 years for protesting about climate change. Also The Government : We are going to tax you all into oblivion because we want to stop climate change. Anyone joining the dots here and finding that things just don’t add up ?

If you dig into this stuff mate, it’s a proven fact that protests that cause no hassle at all just don’t work…..as in, it’s been studied and it’s all in black and white. One of the lead organisers of JSO actually states that fact right from the beginning. I remember the Brixton & Toxteth riots, they gave the spades everything after those despite them murdering a policeman while they were at it. And you going to the St George’s day March/protest or whatever it was called is different how ? Not a snide remark by the way, I’m just interested if any of you lads genuinely believe in your heart of hearts, given everything we have witnessed over the past 20 years, that this sets a precedent that will be applied in a fair and even handed way by a government that has done nothing but betray you for the last 70+ years ? Do you honestly believe that ?

I’m not trying to say anything mate, I’m simply writing the facts…..but I will tell you all who WONT be getting locked up ……any guesses ? Im not being rude mate because as a rule I agree with and respect most things you write but you lads all need your bumps felt if you don’t understand that this is just a green light for the government to silence whatever voice don’t suit them….and that means lads like us !

I read that type of utter tripe all the time in the protests, mate let me tell you this, I drove round London and the M25 all day, every day, for 30 years……. I sat in more 3 hour traffic jams than I care to remember because the police, council, Uncle Tom cobbley just randomly decided to close a street or a road or a whole f***ing motorway and nobody, and I mean nobody ever reportedly died in a f***ing ambulance.
