    WHOO HOO, SATURDAY 19TH MARCH 2016 FIRST DOG SHOW AND RACEDAY OF 2016. The CCI HAVE ANNOUNCED THEY WILL BE HOLDING A DOG SHOW AND RACEDAY ON SATURDAY 19TH MARCH 16. DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE VENUE WILL BE CONFIRMED LATER , BUT WILL BE HELD IN CO ARMAGH. THIS SHOW WILL BE A QUALIFER FOR THE MASTER MC GRATH, THE 5 NATIONS WHIPPET CHAMPIONSHIP AT SHANES CASTLE , AND 5 NATIONS LURCHER AND TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIP AT BIRR CASTLE 2016.     The Combined Clubs Christmas Dog Show 2015. A former Manor House, the Bannvale House Hotel is a beautiful Old World Hotel set in 13 Acres of private woodland in the County Down countryside, and sits off the main road between Gilford and Banbridge. This was the venue for the Combined Clubs Christmas Dog show Saturday the 19thDecember 15. The annual Christmas dog show is always a welcome break from the trials and tribulations of Christmas shopping, and all the razzmatazz that goes with the festive season.     Got winter edition of The Irish Country Sports and Country Life Magazine yesterday.What a great read with plenty of photographs and writeups by top class expierenced authors on all aspects of Country Sports and Country Life north and south of the border and further afield. Well done to editor Paul Pringle and of course the King of the Castle himself Albert J Titterington. I am so proud to be part of this brilliant winning team of people.     Definately the patterdale and lurcher, not sure about the lab cross but bring him along anyway, there might be a class on the the day he could enter.

    You dont Wendy, just come along on the day, and when you go into the ring you pay. It is usually around £3 per dog per class. Look forward to seeing you there. Always a great wee show with plenty of Christmas spirit.

    The Talk Of The Town Raceday, Old Leighlin, Co Carlow Sunday 1st November 15 Historians have documented the importance of Old Leighlin, and its antiquities in a number of important sources over the years. To the Canine Fraternity last weekend, the most important date on the calendar was to make a trip to “ The Talk Of The Town Race Track” in the beautiful countryside of Old Leighlin, Co Carlow for a good days racing.
