  1. I think its worth it for that sort of money - filters etc? Good luck with it mark no filters mate. i was going to be going out tonight with it but its p#####ng it down tonight, so i might give it a miss. or will rabbits still be about in the rain? I'd save myself a soaking If I were you

  3. Hi, im from Rotherham mate, i am not selling my gun or as of which just yet anyway, i am just wondering how much i could get for it at the moment. Thanks. Is it still in mint condition? £200 last time was a good price; did it have all the kit?
  4. It can be difficult judging ranges on the lamp, so the Logun may not be a bad start as the beam is not as strong as others (you are unlikely to take shots outside your comfort zone) - just a thought. I wouldn't pay full RRP for one though.
  5. I'm currently using a Bushnell Legend - superb scopes, excellent optics and can be had as new for around £130 - 150. (Mildots true on x12 but I shoot on x6 without probs). I also have a Falcon Menace which I love - find it difficult to split the two and both available for similar money.
  6. With that sort of budget you could have pretty much anything, the best thing to do is try out a few different ones- 410, rapid etc if you can. You could end up spending £1000 on something you can't get on with otherwise.
  7. Do you mean standard 1st class? I would doubt it, & it would cost a lot; courier would be cheaper. Best to find a courier who works for the shops - BAR use APC I think.
  8. I don't know because I'm not into that level of Air rifle target, but I do know a lot/some of the top people use them! Me thinks you need to be fairly serious to head down this route! ATB Deker I'm with Deker on this..again.. I don't buy target rifles. However, locally the recent EV2 is not getting good press. If you can buy one it may not be that great. (Apparently there's a lot of business in dominators (
  9. A simple, but valid answer. Expect to wait
  10. Before you post it, check the insurance; most carriers will not carry "firearms" nowadays and if you don't inform them beforehand you aren't insured. That said, I have asked APC who said they won;t carry...butV-mach use them
  11. I've got a pair of Tay & they're brilliant, if a little bit big though
  12. Depends on condition, quality of scope, size/bar of bottle etc; but £500 - £600 should cover it
  13. More than one terrible story on this thread. As the o/p says, some are blase about ar rifles, "toy guns" etc. They should be treated as any other firearm as stated above.
  14. Depends what you're hunting. the .177 is more forgiving as it has a flatter trajectory. Unless very close up the .177 will despatch the quarry every bit as well as .22 (overpenetration in .177) I used to shoot .22 and can't beleive the difference in the margin for error (on targets of course). .22 probably better on rats over shorter distances. The Prosport is probably the best out of the box, but heavy for the field. I've only picked up (never shot) the Tactical up & it felt nice at the shoulder. You also mention the Evo - the only gasram - some like them, some don't. I shot one &
  15. If someone had told them you/someone were wandering around with a gun, the AR would've been there faster than you can say "throw down your weapon" I think they're spinning you a yarn, although I don't see why. They go onto private property and remove unattended articles? It's a farm ffs, there's allkinds unattended. They should have checked with the farmer. Is it worth considering ringing plod before you go out - should save any problems in future.
  16. AA Fields or JSB exacts seem to be popular choices, apparently the exacts shade it
  17. Another idea is to wipe it down before you go out. I use Napier VP90 on a cloth & never had a problem on the suspect AA blueing.
  18. With all due respect mate, why do you want a silencer and a bi-pod for a springer. An SMK 19 is really only good for a bit of tin can bashing, please for goodnes sake don't go hunting with it. A silencer can still make a difference to a springer; not as much as a good v-mach tune though. He may be good with the SMK...you never know
  19. if its the .20 your getting rid of then i might be interested 3 Rapids is taking the piss I'll fight ya for the .20; always fancied one
  20. i have the aa s410k and its great but i have heard rave reviews about the multi shot kit for the 400 and it works really well. so if you have a 400 spend the £60 on the kit but if you are buying a new rifle anyway go for the 410 hope this helps john Agree with zebedee - I have the 400 conversion kit & it's great. If you have a 400 & like it, buy the kit. If you don't have either buy the 410, the 400 kit is manual indexing & gives 8 shots in .177, whereas the 410 gives you 10 shots (obviously ) and indexes with cocking the gun.

    AIR ARMS

I've got one & it is manual indexing, which can be done quickly enough to get a second shot away if needed. The pellets do click into place as you say. Im made up with it.
  22. For that sort of money probably the AGS or JSR scopes (new). You could pick up a second hand Bushnell or Simmons though.
  23. My mate tried Accupel, JSB Exacts & AA Fields in his - the AA Fields came out best :ok:
