I have had a Browning Recon Force Edge for over 2 years now and i cannot fault it. Great video and sound and so far 100% reliable. it has been outside now non stop for the entire time running off a small 2.5ah 12v battery which lasts a good 3 months. it has a security cable around it just in case, but no problems so far. Always had a healthy population of hares, but the last 2 years have seen numbers jump upwards despite 2 hare shoots. hares everywhere

everything went a bit quiet, then a patch of wheat caught fire.... the stem was burnt away just leaving the charred head of the wheat, the grain was still ok and is scattered all over a 1 acre plot. there is a lot, a bird would not have to move more than a couple of foot to fill up !! 64 crows and 24 pigeons was the latest bag. in the end i stopped shooting the pigeons and concentrated on the crows as i thought i was doing more good that way by protecting the song brds, skylarks and lapwings in the area as well as protecting the remaining crop. not a bad afternoon for

well, yesterday was a bit better. the peas are up and the pigeons decided they liked the taste ! a nice 15-20mph wind was blowing and i had seen some movement on the field in the last few days. a pleasant afternoons shooting ended with 109 picked and in the chiller. one purple patch saw me on around 40 birds for 2 boxes of shells.. very happy with that. still had the odd silly miss for unknown reasons though lol

i understand about the security side of things entirely, i use a python security cable like in this link. python yes, it adds to the cost i know but i would not put out a £160 camera with out one. There are still places i will not put it. Yup mine used mainly for fox too. Nice to see all the other wildlife too. out, we have quite a few footpaths that border or cross the land and it would be mad to place it near them!! Detection and IR range is much improved the more you spend. Some shots are of foxes dtected almost out of IR range, 30+m. These vids are on my Amazon prime dr

i have been running a trail cam on the farm for a couple of years now. i tried the cheaper ones from amazon etc, but after tests in the gaarden found them not very sensitive on the triggering the camera. i went with a Browning Recon force. its never been a problem and the pics and especially the video is outstanding. i know they are more money, but if you want good results unfortunately its gonna cost a bit more. buy an extras SD card and swap out when you visit or like Dekers take the laptop with you. As for power, make up an external power lead and run it from a small 2aH 12v battery, i

not as good as expected, as is always the case. couple of dozen + 5 big carrion crows. crows were a nice bonus, always think i have done some good when i get them. (seen too many carryong chicks back to the nest for food). shot well with the new MK38 taking some good 40yd high birds. got a bit of a tan too !!
