  10. Any game or pest. Why have a dog and bark yourself. feather's as in;; hair's down below, why have a dog nd bark yourself thats not what you meant is it :icon_eek: Brains of Britain here. It means let the dog go out and pick up.Why do it yourself. Its the dogs job..
  11. Its called using the dog to its full potential. yea i understand that catcher,im quite pleased when mine nabbed the odd pheasant, but imo i dont think a lurcher needs to be trained to do it.believ me or not i honestly wasnt having a dig catcher Well as i said before all my lurchers are trained on the air rilfe. Are retriving shot birds and squirel and doing long cold retieves.Long before they see a rabbit.Eigth month of a dogs life can be put to good use.So when the time comes they are pritty well trained..Dosent hurt but it helps a lot.
  12. excuse me but just because i have never heard of a lurcher being used for retrieving game it makes me a idiot? Have you ever thought we may not do it in my area/group of friends...highley in appropriate comment and very much un-called for, i asked a gunine question...and anyone who has been out with my lamping/met me know that i know the crack. And for your information i very very rarley do lads mags (entered that competition for a laugh). I am A art nude model and most of my work is sold privatly  ffs, an art nude model, what you really mean is YOUR TO f*****g FAT FOR REAL
  13. Worst bird to start them on Catcher....too many feathers that fall out to easy. not so sure, they retrieve them they will retrieve anything, nothing like a flapper to get the dog interested ....you just said the very same thing in your last post. A young dog shouldn't be started on pigeons because of the feathers falling out, wether its a lurcher or a gun dog. Snipe are great to start of with...... A winged bird isn't good either as it makes the dog want to run in, probably more a gun dog fault though rather than a lurchers... Dident say you couldent start them.Did say it
  14. Worst bird to start them on Catcher....too many feathers that fall out to easy. I start them on what i shoot first bud.As for woodpigeon at that age they are so keen to please.never had to mutch of a problem. One good pluck then i let them carry for a bit.
