    hi guys ,,out of my 10 ferrets 3 of them have a twin ,now 2 of them are about 4 yrs old ,1 is a great worker and the other no where near as good ,what do you guys recommend i use to id these 2 apart ?the other 4 are only last years kits and havent worked yet so no worries there yet but i will need to do some thing to them so i can tell them apart soon ,,,thanks guys ,,,jas

    i find if i leave any other ferrets in when there is kits the mother will eat them to stop others from getting them ,,she may come straight back on heat again just keep an eye on her ,2 of mine come on heat twice in spring

    i do apolagise to you guys for my outburst ,but we call the ones you refer to as polecats ,sables, anyway i could be wrong about polecats but thats just what myself and a lot of people that buy off me and mates as well refer too them as ,,jas

    What planet are you from??? mate ,ive had ferrets for over 20 years ,and had great success breeding and selling them ,,and i stick to what ive said in my previous post ,,,,and ive got 2 males that are twice as big as the standard sizes and i even get comments from people who are buying them saying they are polecats as well ,,,so crawl back under ya rock until you know the truth ,,

    over in aus polecats are ferretts that are alot bigger then the standard size ferrett,normally twice the size if not bigger,,,jas

    ive used frontline on mine but just dont give the one ferret a full dose give him half then half to another ,,,i also use tea tree oil it works wonders for everything ,,jas

    we can ferret all year round in australia but i tend to use mine more as the weather cools just before winter and just starts to warm up after winter ,,,,,,,,,i use tea tree oilon my ferrets ,it keeps fleas off them heals up sores quickly {backs of necks } and helps with mange and hair loss ,,,jas
