I'm OK Dai,could moan about something if you want me to...OK thanks for that,I've already got a cordless one in car..just a thought about corded lamp....it's my Xmas bipolar buying head lol..take care,

       Mike.

  2. Hi @D Lloyd how're you doing?

What's the cheapest 12v corded lamp you selling at the moment?

Only want one to keep in boot of car for an occasional shine about.

I've got the same cordless one like above in car at moment but wouldn't mind a 12v plug in.

Message me on here if you want.

  3. Has anyone tried the NARA bait for snap traps?

These are designed to sit in snap traps with a central bait cup.Think they come in 5 or 6 different flavours and unlike peanut butter spread or soft bait these are weather and insect resistant and apparently last up to 3 months outdoors and 12 months indoors.

Just ordered some in chocolate nut flavour.

Stop Fcuking over thinking it haha get biggest screw driver you got, with decent head on it, probe around till you feel it drop, probe more to find a section of run straight enough to put trap in, put real on floor cut around with bread knife or even a pointing trowel, ( I used a screw driver an a trowel for first couple hundred moles, still do a lot times,) set trap an them dispose of dead mole the next day ?

I shall do that, can't help but over think, I'm a perfectionist with ocd.

Use rebar of around 4mm to 6mm. Ask someone with a welder to put a couple of beads of weld at the bottom to help feel the drop into the tunnel. Then use a short length of round baton to make  T handle. If you cut it to the same length as a Duffus trap then cut the ends to 45 degrees and fit the probe to the short side. You can use the handle to firm up the tunnel base if required.

The tunnels can be anywhere from an inch to 2 feet dependent on conditions and seasons. Look around the edges of your garden, sides of patios and hedgerows for small signs of mole activity. Then probe in those areas, not around the molehills.

    Best of luck.

Is there any difference if the rebar is thicker than 6mm,been reading different topics and someone said rebar of 50mm is still ok to use?

I've read people using old knitting needles or a beheaded golf club?

  6. @Nicepix I'm going to have a go of mole removal in my garden,I've ordered a barrel trap could a tent peg be used as a dibber? If not could you recommend something instead of buying an actual dibber?

I did think about the metal bars used on building sites with the u shape on top that is used to hold up the orange plastic material, is one of these to thick in diameter for a dibber,I would have cut it to 33inches in length.

Also on average how deep down from the ground top should you find the tunnel/run.I have watched numerous YouTube videos I can't wait to try.

    Many Thanks.

Something has happened big time. They've sacked the mod that banned me I think or he's stropped off.

    Why change the DNS name?

Why not import the old threads and just update it?

Mmm.... Very fishy... Sounds like a face saving exercise... Or they got to critical mass with the amount of people they banned... Now I don't like Shauny... I find him arrogant. To the point that he disagrees with tuning approaches I've used and I know work... And are widely used... But disagrees with them in an unpleasant manner. However banning the resident springer tuner is madness

Andy the site administrator and sole owner of the forum has sadly passed away. Therefore another forum had to be created.

  8. Who remembers the 1000,000 cp lamp from Argos with the red on/off button on top, with the unscrew handle with a tripod inside. Like most people I rewired mine up to a different switch.

Think they sold for about £20,who remembers their actual name and does anyone still have one.I'm sure someone put a picture of one on here not long ago.

I seen one on a market stall back about 3 years ago for £10,wish I picked it up now, even came with original box.

    Whats their prices like?

Were the lightnings spring models or gas rams?
