Here's a better picture of Vances "Ash". Bred out of the "tepe Gawra" desert bred stuff via Farra, back to the Kizzy stuff via "Vances Girl" Litter sister to Lennons "Star", Willie Toughs, "Sonny", Alan Booths "Fred" , Hansons "cruise" ect....... all good animals and good producers. Vances were only run privately and with the saluki C.C, Tony's won the Temple Brewer and got to the Forley twice running up once, against top match bred stuff. Sankey also used Ash over Dancer to get some outstanding longdogs.

Dont know of the Shap dog, some in the Lakes a few miles from shack No, Paul was asked to slip in the Forley.................. but didn't Tony took the bitch out on the WEDNESDAY , ran her hard, and the Forley was on the Fri, should have been lightly exercised the week before IMO. The bitch was Tony Griffish,s "shady" and was litter sister to "ash" and "Abbey" of Vances, bred out of his Kizzy/ pharo bitch to Farha, she won the Temple Brewer the week before she ran up in the forley in 99. Don't know if Ash is still going Shaddow, if he is he'll be at least 14. Don't think the ban has affected the saudi saluki much Inan, the royals and their hanger on, course all over the middle east and africa (for ths gazzel), got a great dvd of them running gazzel single handed off Paul S. Firstly, Toby is not a pure bred , doesn't detract from the dog in any way , but if its pures your after Khan has desert blood in him, from his sire is out of "Farha tepe gawra", son of the legendary "Durak". John Lennons stuff is all Kizzy and Pharo stuff and heavily inbred,so your right to go for a desert type out-cross. When Vance used Farha over his bitch (smooth desert bred to kizzy stuff, which is what your looking to do), the litter was outstanding. One of the bitches was runner up in the Forley.......... and Vances bitch was better. The "Kizzy" stuff is very fast but

I was walking the dogs today on the clithero side of Pendle hill in Lancs, now, there's an albino crow that frequents the area and i saw him again today...........................the first time i saw him was in 1982, if my maths are correct this makes him at least 26 I know crows can live along time in captivity , but , in the wild and with the disadvantage of being albino Is the albino gene hereditary and this crows one of the original crows offspring?

Depends, dogs are generally slower to mature than bitches................ but not always..............and what thier chasing! Eight months is about the right age for a bitch for a first introduction to a rabbit or two, this bitch was running single handed from nine months,only the odd slip at first, but more as she matured up. Like people, dogs are individuals, and mature at different rates. Its about weighing up your pup and deciding if its ready for the next stage or needs holding back In my experience the real "good,uns" show it at an early age
