  1. We're only working class, but i've been on a foxhunt before. Only on a quad, but they're not all snobs.
  2. Just goes to show what a mockery the Government are now.
  3. You probably haven't but if you have, you've just made your self a massive problem. What ever you do, do NOT hit the dog or else you'll piss the bond between it and you. As a last resort, i would try an electric shock collar that automatically shock it when it barks, but be careful, because if the other dog barks or there's a loud enough noise, it'll still get a shock. A lad i used to speak to who keeps a fair few dogs, his new dog barked all the time, he tried everything, then he resorted to the bark collar, and it soon stopped barking.
  4. I would already suggest what's already been suggested too, put tin cans behing the gate so as soon as they move it it makes a noise. Alarms, nasty dogs. No point calling the ploc because they won't give a shite.
  5. I would suggest Keeping the dogs in side and the ferrets inside a locked barn. I used to keep my dog in the kennel when i first had her, but a few people started talking about my dog in the kennel so i kepp her inside now. With the ferrets, they're out of site and if someone strange put their hand in the cage, the polecat would soon have them. I know i just told my secret, but that's not the only method.
  6. Could mean many different things, tumour, abcess, maybe? But definately go to the vets!
  7. Hi i'm no expert and people on here can correct me as i dont really use cage traps for rabbits but what i have been told about these traps is to put them on a run were the rabbits are regulary stationary grazing and were a large pile of the rabbit droppings can be seen and also putting two cages back to back so the rabbit either way it runs on its usual run enters your trap, and also i was told if the one cage catches swap it with the cage that is on the back of it as the rabbit is likely to have urinated and faeced whilst in the cage and other rabbits will think this is normal and then end u
  8. It's definately a Marsh Harrier.
  9. It's the way the world's going mate. What a bunch of wnakers to do a thing like that.
  10. You should use masses of rabbit live catch cage traps. You should set them near hedge rows, fifteen foot apart and the entrances all facing the same way. Baited with carrot.
  11. yep totally agree.... those townie foxes seem to fall for the small traps but the country foxes are wary of anythin that looks out of place!! a friend of mine reckons he can catch town foxes in cat cage traps!!! but for the country foxes he thinks you need one thats as big and as wide as ye can make it Yeah, the bigger the better. Many keepers and pesties say the older the bait in it the better.
  12. whats gender are you ? Male how old are you ? 15 did anyone in particular get you into hunting? No how old were you when you started hunting? 13 why do people hunt? For a sport and food what would happen to all the animals if you didnt hunt ? The ground nesting birds would become extinct. Foxes, mink, crow etc would eat the egss and birds. do you use dogs if so how do you train them ? A JRT I didn't need to train her how to rat, just heel and to be good with the ferrets. what sort of things do you take hunting with you ? An airgun, rifle, shotgun, dog. can you think of any problems you
  13. I'd have sent her back. If she doesn't belong here, so she can go. They should only be allowed here for short stay holidays.
  14. Get the biggest one you can possibly find mate. The bigger it is the harder it is for someone to nick it, plus a lot of keepers theorys are, the bigger the trap, the better. But make sure you have a rifle or shotgun to dispatch it.
  15. Deben have had alot of trouble with the MK2s.
  16. sparrow hawks rarely,if ever touch an adult pheasant mate. I've seen a SparrowHawk have a pheasant before.
  17. SparrowHawks pluck their prey. It could be a fox. Do you do much preditor control? Are there many foxes around?
  18. Would be much appreciated f someone could.
