  10. Main signs are Rabbits with Gooey Manky eyes, dull lifeless fur, failure to move properly. Although my dog used to take Myxi rabbits (kindest thing to do) I once saw a really young un down a quite country lane and i had no dog with me..It was near the road and didnt react when i appraoched I nearly filled up...I had to used the nearest wall.
  11. JOEB  I have used Baler twince to fasten horses headcollars back toghter if they snapped,Ive used it for opening another bale of straw/hay if no knife handy..(trick of the trade) and ive also been known to alter dog coats with it Girl of many talents  Oh and play that cats cradel game
  12. Ouch!! Nope no sign of them been knocked up Am going to get a mate to do it for me when im away this weekend
  13. Got quite a few old injuries Moll dont know about knocked up tows though will speak to his old owner Tried filing them down with a strikeside of matchbox and that worked very well but it became smooth after one claw :realmad: I know my bitch is built more like a Rottie than a Grey and she stood on the tip of his foot the other day and he screamed!!!!But saying that she is a total power house and full muscle at front so i dont blame him I belive with the claws been so long that they must of bent and hurt him..so going to whip them down as short as i safley can :thumbs-up: Ed
  14. My Greys claws are pretty long actually too long i ask the vet to cut them last time he was in for his booster and she said "No its ok its because hes flat flooted" There are kind of growing bent and not straight forward and are only a millimeter off the floor when hes walking. I have seen some pet nail clippers for a quid and REALLY want to do it but he has black claws and i cant see the bloody quick...How far up would be safe? And if i did happen to catch the quick would vet powder stem the flow? Hes had enough pain in them old legs without me causing more Any advice?
  15. Agree get a vet to do it or experainced person due to long term probs if done incorrectly. My Greyhound did one of his own...ripped it off coming up some stairs Was not pretty and i had a vet bill as long as my arm for the after care n stuff

  18. No dont put it down if you cant train it rehome it as a pet or something where it wont see livestock Or at least wont be loose near them. But be careful ive seen dogs shot up before on our old livery yard because they were spooking the horses...Need to get it stopped now otherwise it will end up dead anyway No offence Ian its a case of everyone differs on this i just dont agree with healthy dogs put to sleep ..

  20. Although i havnt got into it properly yet my uncle was a keen hunter with his ferrets, saluki X and hawk used to love it whn hed babble onto my Dad about what hed caught Had a terrier a few years back im sure it was from working lines caught Myxi rabbits but would go after anything although that was just on regular walks. Come from a "traditional" family from Dads side and Mother side cudnt give 2 s**ts about anything really Would be a case of "Nan i caught a elephant with my yorkie (what i dont have) last night!!" shed be "very good dear now listen about that....."
  21. Nowt wrong with crying like a baby... I lost my terrier this way a few years back..chased a cat into the road..recalled failed and over. Sorry for your loss
