Evening All Bit of advice if I may,I currently have a NiteSite NS50 NV connected to my AGS SWAT 4X16X56 Scope I initially bought the scope to use on my previous Camcorder NV Set up, it all works very well but as I only shoot rats I find it does not focus that well at short distances you can see this better when looking at a recording taken last week Is there a more suitable scope I can use.
-
Just another quick update I have now adjusted the recording resolution and the picture quality is better than before,I think I need to maybe change my scope (again) the one I am using is a AGS SWAT 4X16X56 brilliant scope but as I only shoot rats I need something that will focus from around 7yds or so. Have a look at this short recording

I use my freelender the same as you,I was warned to stay away from Petrol engines but I am no mechanic as for the diffs going I have had two freelenders and have had no problems with mine
-
I have had a few over the years,Diahatsu it was an old one and was crap,Frontera 2.0 l sport pulled the horse box with a 15hh Cob no problem,Isuzu Bighorn 3.1 (import) M reg was a cracking tool both on and off road bit gutsy on fuel,02 +06 Freelander really good on and off road if I was to be a bit picky ground clearance could be a problem if you did any serious off roading

Bought mine from http://www.foundry4x4.co.uk/ they were not cheap I think the front pair were £40 and the rear the same,I could pick them up so no postage have a look at their site.

As said above the best bait is normally whatever they are already eating, corn, barley etc. remember rats are neophobic (wary of anything new) so any new baits should be introduced slowly for best results if you have nothing else to do have a read of this http://www.ratbehavior.org/FoodChoices.htm

Hi Roger and a Happy New Year To You,I use the HDVR 720 Dog cam but if you look above in Zini post he uses a Angel Eye during one of his shoots and to be honest I think it is quite good recording but he is also very experienced when it comes to setting up a gun, scope or whatever he uses,I have had advice from him and his recording on youtube on setting up the NS50 and 200 is also very informative . Whoops !! forgot to mention in my previous post the DVR came with a LANC remote control this makes recording very, very easy you can see this in one of the photographs
-
Thanks Si I finally received my connection lead from China to connect between the Nitesite and DVR and carried out a very quick night time test just to see if my set up would actually record,it did and I am very happy,I have put a short recording below the focus quality is not very good as I did not have much time to play around with it,but if anything it will give me a start base line as future recordings will hopefully be of a much better quality. I have also put in some photographs of the units connected I apologise in advance for the back round music but I have only j

ns200 or not? advice please.............
santons replied to redtailhawk1's topic in Night Vision & Thermal
Not a NS200 but I have the NS50 and it does exactly what it says on the box,its very easy to set up and use,I only use it for rat shooting but was looking at some rabbits at probably over sixty yards last night.the only thing i done to mine was put a piece of filter over the screen i think it cost about £2 delivered from the bay -
Thanks secretagentmole But to be honest the battery really doesn't bother me that much
-
I wont bore you with a lengthy reply as all of the technical stuff has already been discussed , I Bought my NS50 a couple of weeks ago to shoot rats on my permissions and I personally think its a cracking bit of kit and it does exactly what it says on the box,as for the battery being a bit big we all knew that before we bought the unit.
