  3. Not sure if you are a member or not but try the guys on the nightvision forum there are some real technical guys on there http://www.nightvisionforumuk.com/
  4. Leads for recording are a pain to get right,I am trying to sort some out for my NS50 but apparently unless the configuration is right between the NV and the camera it wont work properly,I don't know much about cables but are the ones you using audio or video only reason I ask is I tried some cables from my sons camcorder on mine and the picture on screen was much the same as yours I found out later they were audio.
  5. Have you checked the connections it looks as if it is shorting somewhere
  6. Any recording device you may use will be ok it hasent got to to be for the NS50 specifically
  7. Hi All I know this topic has been covered before but just a quick question,,the Angel Eye recorder seems to be favoured by most but has anyone any recorded videos they can show us I cannot find any on youtube specifically hunting use using the Angel Eye.
  8. Hi All I have been on this site for a while but haven't posted much but thought I would introduce myself, I live in the South Wales Valleys and most of my shooting is also in and around the valleys on occasion I also travel up to my mates in Builth to help out with thinning out the scaly tail population,as said my main quarry is Rat shooting and this is done by using my Air Arms TDR in .22 flavour topped with a Yukon Sentinel Pulsar Nightvision scope . There is an abundance of topics on this site and some really good advice, keep up the good work
  9. You can ruin your reputation with one non target species caught in error in a fenn trap or similar,as jack68 has said if you are not sure leave it to someone who can,I have shot thousands of rats and trapped hundreds more over the years but I consider myself to be an Amateur Pest Controller,to try and control pests on a commercial scale is a different ball game.
  10. I have for sale a set of as new Thule make roof bars from my Isuzu that has now been sold £60 no offers prefer pick up from Merthyr Tydfil but may post at cost
  11. Evening All Just a quick heads up, I am selling my beloved Isuzu as I have downgraded to a Landrover Freelander, Isuzu Bighorn M reg (1995) 3.1 turbo diesel auto. 7 seats 200.000 kilometers (124.000 miles) new belt and rad. fitted at around 180.000 kilometers 8 months mot NO TAX very good condition very good runner I have owned this for the last three years and only selling as I have had a job change and my better half will not drive an automatic and she says it is a bit too big to park in Tescos I am looking for £995 ovno http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b22/to
  12. Same problem here, as said earlier buy a couple of Fenn Traps but make sure you have them enclosed in a tunnell of some sort to make sure you dont catch the local moggie (it is also required by law). If you havent used Fenns before be really, really bloody carefull when you set them make sure the safety is on until you are ready.
  13. It has been very interesting reading all the replys above, being a "Non Proffessional Amateur Pest Controller" I too have had simular problems with rats not taking bait etc. etc. etc.and by trial and error have had quite a good catch success rate, I wouldent tottally disagree with most of the replys above from "The Proffessionals" especially with regards to training and gaining qualifications but we all have to start somewhere even the most experienced and qualified Pest Controllers I know can tell tales very simular to the ones mentioned within the above topics of when they started out.
  14. I had a simular problem only in the middle of a bowling green, spent £800 on securing the boundary fence, the bloody fox got run over the following morning, cant win them all
  15. Cant beat a good squirt of yogurt straight from a washed out washing up liquid bottle is perfect for rats, I have used this many times when baiting on runs it on holds them just enough to get a shot off
  16. I have been shooting rats for the last four years or so and have tried just about every combination you can think of some of my better baits are, yoghurt stored in a used washing up liquid bottle so you can easily put it exactly where you want it, some of the thicker yoghurts I mix with a drop of sunflower oil and use a hand blender to mix.for fussy rats mix a small amount of gravy granules in with anything from yoghurt, believe me it works. Nothing goes to waste in my house if it can go in the blender it gets used, for a "ToP Tip" go to your local Tescos or Asdas and look in the reduced s
  17. belive me mate they will come out Evening All Being a local Council Officer we too have problems with rabbits on playing fields, seing as I can easily control them myself I am not allowed as said in previous replys above all about legalities H+S issues etc etc, I have to employ a Pest Control company to sort them out.
