  1. Sore on the upper shoulder muscle, not a cut unbelievable, she yelps. These bitches have this rough horseplay every day was supposed to go out in the morning
  2. Alright folks, Was wondering what your thoughts were on this. Exercising two bitches yesterday, one catches the other the dominant bitch wheels on her and bites her upper shoulder, bicep. I break it up check the bitch - no punctures but bitch seems to be lame. Check her this morning bitch seems twice as bad and in more discomfort, no holes but. What do you reckon?
  3. Good lad DITCH SHITTER. Dog has a very fluffy coat which ha a tendency to get matted at back passage, cleared that. He's fed fatty beef, with meal nuts but to be honest he concentrates on beef. Noticed him wheeled at back end yesterday, but he wasn't in pain - he was in pain tonight and unable to to have a movement. Donned the rubber gloves, inserted them  to see if there was a blockage, there was and he near ate me I think it could be slightly inflamed. See what the craic is in the morning.
  4. Dog seems to have a blockage in his back passage. Diet is primarily meat, I cleaned what I could but dog seems to be in pain bringing him to vet in the morning? Anybody encountered this before and if so what is the craic?
  5. That was the dog, half minshaw your man ASDOGS used to own wasn't? Why did he get rid of it? As I can remember it was a fairly handsome dog?
  6. A mate was telling me he met a guy with a saluki and asked him what lines they were, and he said they were of a pure saluki bitch called "Fred"? I was convinced the sire must have been called it, and he got mixed up but no he insists it was a bitch? Can somebody put us right on this as there is a few riding on it!
  7. Just to get a bit of a thread going, what do the troop's think about lamping coursers? In my opinion it can ruin good coursing stuff, but this is in Ireland where the fields are small. I've noticed a few from this site swear by it, but I take it they have the proper land.
  8. beddy x greyhound puppy wanted for lamp. Must be of good stock.
  9. This is for all the lamping crowd. Had my lot with Lightforce battery back, constantly letting me down fuses blowing, wiring getting pulled out. So I bought a battery that is used to power golf buggies progolf sd22 12v with a handle recommended by locla lads. Can someone give me the idiot guide to connecting my lamp lightforce striker to it? Is it as simple as connecting positive and negative and what is the best way to keep these connections fixed? Thanks lads
  10. Ok BRAN I stand corrected no offence intended No sweat Joe. Lads the moral of the story, there is enough agin us we don't need more grief from ones that know the craic, a bit of common sense to prevail, but then common sense isn't that common. Over and out
  11. Neither would I. f**k them, they're not worth it.
  12. There has been a bunch a cowboys over here shooting off the road and not getting caught for the past 38 years But thank f**k that's all over! No mate, don't mind guys having a shot. Sport is sport, but have a bit of respect! Too many wiping gear out, just in case somebody else gets a hunt at it. I walk smack bang into gamebirds every time I'm out wouldn't dare let a dog touch one.
  13. Your a real know all Joe. This is Ireland not England, the fields are a lot smaller, massive land is few and far between. What's the accuracy on these rifles? 100 -200 yards? The country roads are adjacent the fields, these fields are rarely bigger than two hundred yards Why would this be a tall story? Do I insert doubting replies about your posts? Have a bit of respect Joe, I have no need to tell stories. I found a hare two three rabbits in the four fields I tilled.
  14. I had permission. They did not leave the vehicle from the road! Because they had rifles, sights , an elevated postition on top of landrover roof, they simply drove around the country from the f*****g roads and wasting everything! Without ever getting out.
  15. Funny how people are. I have a mate who is mad for the dog that is the ditch wrecker, and leaping into cover to get the rabbit out, but is forever getting hurt, and I do agree there is more catches this way, but the wee dog I operate gets reasonable enough hauls without hitting the ditches and never got an injury in three seasons of lamping, or cover.
  16. f*****g raging Went to a place that use to hold abundance of game. rabbit, hare, fox. I haven't been in years. Thinking cunning I says to myself all the ones that used to hunt this place, are out of the game now - so was expecting a bit of a night. Well was I suprised, there wasn't a set of eyes in the night! I mean nada, not birds, nothing. Couldn't f*****g believed it until I noticed an red filter light, and noticed three pricks in an landrover two through the top with rifles on cradles plugging everything moving. f*****g joke! Week after week getting dogs right, conditioning, feeding, an
  17. You sure it's not fluke? As I've got a couple of them
  18. What are you talking about " a load of bollocks"? The only load of bollocks getting spoke about is by you. We're talking hares not foxes. Your not allowed to hunt hares with dogs in the North for starters, as for the South go round monaghan way and try to get a hunt at a hare ( they run them with hounds) and leave your car at your own peril the first chance they get they'll wreck your car!
  19. Not everyone in gun clubs is against lurcher men me and my dad often stand and have a chat with the lurcher boys we meet when out rough shooting although they usually say they are after foxes . What part of the country are you in? And if the land is rough they probably are
  20. Mate, don't mean to be rude. But catch yourself on! Either your very young are naieve. Whom in their right mind is going to tell you where hares there. This is an important piece of advice be careful what you may wish for, even if someone is going to tell where hares are it's probably to get you in trouble. There is groups of people hell bent on hanging lurcher men by the balls namely regional gun clubs, hounds clubs, and last but not least the formidable Irish Coursing club (greyhounds) add to the 1976 Wildlife act which protects hares, antis need I go on
  21. Give the dog a run today, run like he was hurt, thought it was his wrist bent it back and he squealed. Headed back and ON closer inspection after washed the dog's feet with tea tree oil, realized it's his dew claw that is badly swollen, what do you think? Should I get them removed?
  22. There is a dog called "MYLES" over here in Ireland mated a few bitches. A lovely looking cream saluki type. Supposed to be a fair dog on fens, any of the coursing boys know anything about him dog is 6/7 year old?
  23. The question is for how long? We have our own crosses to bear with gun clubs, coursing clubs, wildlife rangers, antis, and over development. But I have to say there are still a few decent country folk who don't mind you racing a hare on fair terms on their land, and that mate as you well know is all any man needs, and respects. On the subject of the English dogs, it should be really interesting on how these blood lines do as up until now I haven't seen a sucessful english dog make their bones here. Personally I think it's the amount of escape routes hares have, and the time it takes the fen st
  24. Good lad BAZ knew I could count on you
