  1. forget about bread mix corn flakes in with the feed ,these toasted flakes of corn are high in carbs and iron and minerals <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Except Cornflakes are overloaded with Salt. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> too much even in 1 or 2 cupfulls , <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I certainly wouldn't replace the ammount of bread with cornflakes unless i was only feeding a slice or two. There's plenty of running dog men that feed their dogs cereal for breakfast so a cup or two is no problem although they are far too high in salt for my liking.

  11. Went out with a mate for a walk around some of his permission last night & he took two nice big dog foxes. It's only a smallholding which borders a council estate & flood lit football pitches on one side & a main road the other, so shots aren't always easy to take. The second one was turning white They were in far better condition than the manky one taken a couple of weeks ago on another farm which is in a far more rural location.

  18. Since when ? why would anyone breed from a dog that had never raced??? There's plenty of good racing lines to choose from so why would anyone do this...? I think the original topic and question is, when there's nothing or very little good stock available... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Theres plenty that breed from a bitch that has never raced due to injury or that has not been top class, if a sibling has been very successful.
  19. Saw this on National Geographic a few years ago. This was the Lion in question, pretty apt name for him. It has been seen that where a clan of hyena can chase a large pride of lionesses from a kill, they ignore the pride if the male(s) are present, they have even been known to ignore a kill with only one male lion feeding if the specific male is known as a particularly aggressive or dominant lion who is not shy about killing the odd hyena. The locals like to give African names to the lions they study and one lion male was given the name NTWADUMELA - HE WHO GREETS WITH FIRE - the Hyena Kill
