    My digging partner had one of his terriers confiscated around 4 months ago ,the dog was marked after some legal work but a nosey neighbour phoned the charity and one morning they arrived at his door with the scum and took all his digging gear terrier books etc He was not allowed access to the dog until after the court case.Last week his citation came through with a charge of failure to provide vetinary treatment for the dog,this was after the charity vet who inspected the dog admitting that the treatment he was giving it was good.Anyway now to get the dog back he has to pay them 8 pound per

    Headed out this morning on our permission by 8am. Tried a few dens at the back of a local landfill, it was clear that there had been activity but unlucky nothing at home. Eventually we came across a den which had residence, the only downfall was it was in an old railway embankment and the reading on the B&F had settled at 5.4. Forutnately for us it was an inexperienced bitch that had entered and she submerged after an hour. You can see from the photo where the fox has shook itself. We have a lot of ground to cover and hope to get out frequently over the next few weeks. The area we c

    Hi there mate you cant beat a wood burning stove. We have a large Morso and when at full capacity it can heat the whole of our downstairs and we have 14ft ceilings! We find the best way to keep it going through the night is to stock it up with dry wood and add some smokeless coal (providing its a multi fuel stove you have), wind the vents in almost shut and then it should just be case of opening the vents in the morning.     Well with all this hard weather iv decided to go for a dig tomorrow with my digging partner.Its our first proper outing of the season after we had a bit bother with the charity earlier on this year .Keeping the fingers crossed and will update on the outcome on sunday night.Who else is out for a dig tomorrow ? atb andri

    years ago when out coursing without permission etc .seldom would you have much bother with walkers and ramblers contacting the cops as too far from a phone.In modern times with the mobile phone it has resulted in a lot more prosecutions with having istant access to a phone. The mobile phone is a great bit of technology but maybe a thorn in the side for some of us who like a stray from time to time . whats your thoughts ? ATB ANDRI
