  2. Hi all, About 5 yrs ago i had a marriage break down, i was in North wales at the time and had to disband my hunting team!!! The last to go was Buster my collie Lurcher. I'd love to know what he's upto now, if he's still going or if he has any pups about. He had a distinctive patch of short reddish hair about 3"along his tail... The photo's on here were taken from old pics but hopefully someone will recognise him. I know he was sold from Anglsey to Aberystwyth area? Any Help Would be appreciated. ATB LD13
  3. LD13 Is their any non ped whippet racing clubs down that way one of those might be a better option.atb dell Thats a bloody good idea, Thanks LD13
  4. I find that hard to beleive with the amount of pups on this site alone and fair enough the greyhound wont cost anything proberbly only a few vetbills and a small adoption fee There are very few genuine "pocket" lurchers in kent, I llive in medway and have been looking for some time. There are a few litters but not of the desired cross , or, to be fair simply pet dogs bred and advertised for Stupid prices. Thats why i was considering the Greyhound route. Thanks for all the replies so far. I think if i do go for a Grey, i'll look at the smaller ones, and ask of the medical history/
  5. Does anyone use rescue greyhound/s for rabbiting, if so, what sort of "tts would work best? There are lots of Greyhound rescues down this way and was considering their viability. I have been looking for a whippety lurcher for some time, but finding one locally is a little difficult. I'm after a ferreting companion, to use as a bolting rabbit stopper, may get back into Lamping later on. Any views appreciated. Atb LD13
  6. Hi mate, From my own experience, I have a paterdale terrier, 6yrs, brought up wih ferrets about, a great fox dog, rats etc too. She will happily work all day with ferrets, even ignoring them at the mouth of holes, All sounds good right? Well, she managed to kill 9 ferrets , this was two jills and their litters, the patt was loose in the garden and nobody there to see anything. She'll go through a cage to get to them. So you'll have to see how yours goes, Best of luck. PS ferrets now kept in a dog proof enclosure
  7. Hi fella, sorry to hear about the crap you are having, if you live in or near Kent, and there's anything you need help with, let me know, PM me. ATB LD13

  12. Also, is it safe to let the dogs eat any rabbit that has myxi? yes, even humans can eat myxi rabbits, it's not done often due to the appearence. Myxi is man made and only effects the rabbit gene/species. Also, the advice about holding the rabbit up by its back legs and looking at whether the ears/head drops forward is correct, even a stunned rabbit will hold its head up, if it goes limp and freely wobbles then it is 100% dead.
  13. All been homed now. Thanks for looking. Nice one Delboy p. Regards,
  14. well longdog13 its sad but true when i used to run dogs i give a couple away on here free and heard all the patter, and i only ever let them go on the basis they come back to me when retired or found to be no good. after all terms agreed i find within weeks/months there moved on.never again will i gamble on someone i dont know ,or advertize a dog on the internet. i wonder how many would be still interested if he put £100 on it. hope the dog finds the right place. I agree there are some undesireabe people about, only today on this site i've seen a dog for sale, very young, that i've
  15. Thats a sad and uninformed post if ever i've seen one. Not all of us are peddlers. Some of us have a genuine love of dogs and prefer to rehome a dog in need than look to mass produced litters. Regards.
  16. Due to no shows i still have two ferrets looking for good homes. Please pm for contact details
