lots of shade and maybe a paddling pool for when its really hot ! i took pagan to a show on sat and to keep her cool she had plenty of water and a kept covering her in water aswell , was in the beer tent and a bloke stroked her and said arh mate your dogs really sweating i look at him and as i was about to talk his mate started laughing and told him dogs dont sweat that way had to chuckle on that ! lol

hi just been out shooting then went into my local and we got talking to an old poacher who told us about an old trick to get rabbits! you get a few bricks and set them out side the holes then put a LOT of pepper on them so when the rabbits come in or out they have to sniff the brick first then sneeze and kill themselves or get knocked out by hitting ther heads, has anyone tried it ?

only try an old and tested method ! not using gin traps or any band methods and havnt caught one in the snares yet but got one today in a fenn first of many i hope

How did you get into lurchers and running dogs?

hi my dad got a running dog when i was about 10 or 11 we trained her together and my job was to carry the big old battery in an old school bag when we went out (child labour lol) then he got given a dog of about 3 who was ready to go so i got given the bitch so that started my love for lurchers i had a gap from running dogs for a while still had jacks for ratting now have a deerhound beardie greyhound lurcher and love really love watching her running after prey is poetry in motion and i get a big buzz as i think she does its cool to see her in working mode when out and about and she is a good -
shame you cant tempt any more into his garden lol

hi mate my dad had a similar prob years ago with an older dog they found a waterpistol by the door worked he soon started to get the idea if i bark i get wet so i wont bark kinda thing

Hi i use pets at homes wagg active working dogs they do a couple o flavours i use it with the vat free worker tinned meat for a 15kg bag and 12 tins its about £15 so nice n cheap and they thrive on it (1 lurcher 2 jacks) the dry is about 22%protein fat8% fibre3% hope is helpfull to you fed the lurcher on this since she was a pup just warm warter to make it softer
