I named mine Inja. It's short and two syllables. Which to me, seems to work out well.
It's Ndebele for dog. Can't get any simpler than that. lol
Dakar was another name I thought about. After the race, more than the city.

I could argue with some of that, but mostly I agree. Still, let's not allow the Tories to set decent working folk in private or public sectors at each other's throats while the bankers who finance the Tory party pay themselves - this year - 1.8 billion pounds. Yup, that's billion.
This is advise I wish folks over here would follow. We seem to be having an all out war on public workers. While the bankers, who brought the worlds economy to it's knees. Just keep on getting richer. Some posters on this thread sound like they would rather fight over the scraps. Than take on the real problem.

Spanj has a point! They really do need alot of exercise.
My wirehair lives both in and out. This is how I would keep one if I were in your situation. When you have the time for him or her. They should be ok in the house. When your busy he or she can stay in the kennel. You will not see any adverse effects from this arangement.

3/4 grey 1/4 border collie Jeff at about 12 months, now 18 months. Needs next season to really tell if he's up to much but certainly very keen. 25" tts, easy to train with such as stock breaking, sit, stay, jump and retrieve but comes with some bad traits like not liking being on his own. Out of Kubla.
Nice looking dog! Hope he works out very well for you.

Got a collie x pup at the moment at first I was getting nervous as she seemed very timid for no reason and as few member said on other topics the collie trait sometimes can get frustrating but the possitives out way the negs, retrieving has been a bliss from 12 weeks had her retrieving at good distances with balls and dummies just took to it natural didn't even have to train her. So in all very impressed. If someone could get a pic of the topic this yrs dogs and post them on hereof mine for me that would be great as not good at attaching photos lol

he wont serve another term i dont think.
No, he's not keen on the British. Or the israelis, for that matter. But he did have OBL killed. Couple that with the Republican attacks on planned parenthood, and union workers. He's probably got another term coming. Sorry.

Was just wondering on how you lads get the scent into ur Springer, she is seven months old now and am trying to get her to take the sent of the pheasant, is there a tried and trusted way of doing this.
As you can see I leave a pheasant on her pen, also have wings wrapped round dummy, is this enough, or can you advise.
Thanks.
Plant a few birds upwind in the field. You can card them so they only fly so far. Or dizzy them up pretty good. Then lead her into them (into the wind of course). Let her experience the pleasure of finding and flushing a bird or two. The light bulb should go off. Repeat a few times in different fields. You two should be on your way.

I'm buliding a kennel for my pup (the kennel will be in a tin shed that i want to line with ply)and am trying to work out what floor size to build it. my thoughts where 3ft by 4ft as he'll be a large type running dog. so what size is good for summer and winter with the only change being more bedding in winter an less in summer?
how do you work out the size of there box to the size of the dog?
cat hunter, that should be more than big enough for a single dog. Here, we build much smaller boxes, to help conserve body heat. I'll pu up a couple of links for you to look at. Maybe they'll help you, but, I don't know.
Good luck with what you do.
http://leerburg.com/doghouse.htm This has various sizes by breeds- shoulder height.
http://leerburg.com/...up.htm#doghouse on this link, scroll down to the "best cold weather dog house" part. These are the boxes I built. I think if you don't have as much cold to worry about. You could build on this size, just leave out the devider. Should be plenty of room inside.

i used to feed once but he would sh*t about 7or8 times now ive changed it to 2 and he is using more of the food rather then just going in one end and out the other. main meal before i put him to bed then out in the morning for walk to empty himself and then bike ride then about 1ish maybe chicken wings and then back out later to empty himself and excersise cant remember last time i had to clean sh*t out of the kennel feeding like this.
Life is just complicated over there. Morning and night in the winter. Night time the rest.

This is state side of course. But I've used these for years. I like the rechargeable feature and they seem to last forever.
Good luck what ever you decide on!
