I think when Trump wins it won’t be a question of being isolationist, I just think he understands the importance of the nation state getting its priorities correct.

Ah, Biden is pretty much doing exactly what Trump started. Most of what you hear to the contrary is just political rhetoric.

America has answered the call to friendly nations way before globalism, before this modern breed of politicians sold us all out to China and corporations.

Some of your towns and city’s are mirror images of our towns and city’s, once great thriving places with pride, industry, community now sadly just wreckage……I don’t think there’s anything isolationist about wanting to see that restored…..MAGA as the buzz phrase calls it.

I don’t think wanting to do right by your own precludes you from helping friends…..you just don’t want to have the piss taken out of you and I get that.

Why should a small town American (or Britain or whoever) have to rely on welfare while Western politicians and their corporate masters get fat by starting wars with others peoples resources ?

Any leader of a country owes his loyalty to his own first, sadly that hasn’t been the case for a long time.

Well, we have to look at this in as exact an order as we can. The US was hesitant to get involved in either of the world wars. After WWII, we were staring across the field at a huge soviet army. Everything you mention in your post were tools we used to protect ourselves from that army. That army is gone, and nukes aside. Russia appears to be a paper tiger. So, we don't need those tools anymore. Like you say, we have tremendous infrastructure concerns that have to be addressed.

So, good luck with NATO, and the Middle East!

When the terrorists did the Bataclan massacre in Paris the go to lads to arrive on the scene were British SAS troopers !……..that probably tells you all you need to know.

No body doubts the UK's fighting abilities.

I don’t know where this information is coming from but from a European prospective everything centres around the European Union and the big boy in the room is Germany, Germany rules the roost.
Without the United States there is no NATO and if there is no NATO then everything will be worked along EU lines and that means Germany is in charge.

From a military point of view the premier fighting force in Europe is Britain but we are no longer a member of the EU.

France's population is half way decent.

The EU, and Germany in particular are terminal. It's hard to say they even have much of a future.

Will it f**k, from a military point of view those bunch of queers couldn’t run a bath !
Plus, without you lads NATO would cease to exist as any type of credible force.

It has us but we just don’t have the size despite punching way above our weight.

I'll agree you guys' punch well above your weight class. I'll even take your word that France has more queers. (Not the common world perception though.) Assuming we go full isolationist and stand by as the industrial world crumbles. Someone has to take the lead and only France is showing any real interest. If not them than who?

It’s quite interesting from the human zoo point of view, seeing the shite everyone is being fed by there elected  leaders around the world, only being so far away and never travelled to France could someone  even think that France could defend its self let alone the world, different players same lies, keeps the weak in check

Like it or not, and for better or worse. France will most likely emerge as the dominant power in Europe. They have the resources available, the demographics, and the largest army. That's usually all it takes.

In the words of your own great General Norman Swartzkopff “Going to war without France is like going duck hunting without an accordion !” Lol

Im not really interested in the other stuff but the comment about France tickled me……being told “France are sending support troops” is like being told someone is sending you one water wing because there’s a tsunami heading your way.

That bunch of balaclava wearing empty tracksuits couldn’t soldier their way out of the line for an ice cream truck ! Lol

You laugh. But it will be France running NATO when we exit.

I guess you still get your news from mainstream News outlets. Lol.

Biden doesn't know if he's punched or bored.

America is seen as pathetic with that dementia suffering fool at its helm.

And this fcukwit as head of Homeland security.

    No wonder you're frightened.

Biden is seen as pathetic worldwide and  you were interested enough to pump 90 odd billion pounds into the war not really the actions of disinterest, you may be coming a bit less interested after putin has destroyed most of the superior weaponry you sent over and has began seizing American assets from Ukraine but I guess like us your still being told how well it’s going and how it’s for the benefit of the poor Ukrainian people just some of us can see the bullshite through the lies

I guess you get your news from Tik-Tok? We have offered a fair amount of support so far. When Putin said he could obliterate the UK with a single push of a button. Biden called him up at his secret location and explained that he shouldn't say things like that. Putin stopped.

Shouldn't you be saying "Fair Play" right about now? :drink:

He seemed to go through a faze where he'd turn up to a country on official vists and say thanks for your support heres my shopping list and expect unlimited help , all seems to have changed since the Hamas attack

I don't know. Norway, and a few others are stepping up support and France is getting ready to send in "support troops". It's not like we have not seen this before, is it?

It might help to remember. From the west's perspective, it's not really about Ukraine. Plucky soldiers that they have turned out to be.

hope your family do stay safe mate I,m not a fan of war in any shape, and I probably see things very different to most but all these proxy wars going on are now flowing out into the open and it’s because the yanks are weak mate and just as we are supplying the Ukraine and Israel so to will China and Russia be supplying the other sides as has been going on for years just now it’s no secret very worrying times because the yanks would hit the button rather than loose face think some scary times ahead including much more home grown terror on our own streets to come

Are we weak? Or simply disinterested? We have challenges enough at home.

My son is currently doing GCSE photography. We bought him a Nikon, simply because that's what his school advised as it's the ones they use. I think it's a D3200? Do you know if they're any good? Re the zoom/telephoto lens; which would be best to pair with it for wildlife photography? I think he has two lenses but they're a general purpose one and a makro as he was into his close-up work when we bought it.

I have a D3100. I think I bought it a week before the 3200 came out. Mine is decent, and very rugged. I would suggest one of the Nikkor kit zooms in at least 300mm.

Hounds like that tend to have short careers. lol

I went bobcat hunting with hounds last year. Plott Hounds, and Treeing Walkers. They caught one on the ground and did most of the work. I stepped on its chest to finish the job.
