  1. ill be making coup myself . i made temporary one today , the run is 4'x4' and the house is 3'x2' . havent added perch or nest boxes yet , just put shavings down indoors . they seem happy enough . would this b large enough or should i make new one bigger? thanks .
  2. Been thinking of keeping a few hens for eggs. Called at a so called sanctuary earlier and quite frankly was disgusted by the conditions . came away with 2 out of pity . would like advice on housing and feeding.

  4. i havent much experience with these sort of dogs , but years keeping other breeds. ive seen no reason to doubt the age . he does look a bit grey round muzzle , but i think its the light and camera flash . he got a few scars round muzzle making fur a bit thin . thanks for comments anyway mate
  5. i had him from the blokes who bred him and bought him on . they said he was 2yr old so that all i no . what makes u think hes older ?

  7. if i was you mate id sell them individually on ebay. ive sold loads of rapala lures on there . you will get 3 or 4 quid each
  8. Im not specifically looking for a bull X . Just that saw these advertised and wondered if they be any good . What would be your choice of dog be for possibly working with ferrets ?
  9. thanks for reply nicola . i see what u mean . my staff is 4 yrs old now hes not really a working dog he used to chase rabbits and birds when walking him in his younger days bit i dont think he can be arsed now lol . what exactly do u mean when u say "hard" . ?
  10. Hello everyone . Ive been on the look out for a terrier type dog for a while , as company for my existing dog and possibly to work with ferrets in the future . Theres a litter of patterdale x SBT for sale in the local paper (sire SBT/dam patterdale) . Has any one on here come across one of these before ? I will be going to have a look at pups later on . I will try and get a pic .
  11. i am stuck and im asking . could anyone answer my question on rabbits as regards to the best time to look for them and do they venture out much this time of year . thanks . A good time for checking out new land is an early morning walk, first light.. Ask the owner of the land where they see the most rabbits ect, they also would know if their is any other stuff on the land and where it would be, if their is fresh kickout around the earths/warrens look for possible tracks, hairs, and as others have said Smell is a good sign as to whats using an earth...   14. no signs of any thing really , or at least non of the above . i noticed dung a small way down tunnel , something the size of cat sh*t .

  16. no ive never smelt either . i did put my nose in all i could smell was sort of a fresh cut grass sort of smell or kind of like nettles !

  18. i have pics on mobile but unsure how to upload . pretty sure no one else has been on here for 6 months or so and they were fresh holes . probably around 7 inch wide but maybe 10 inch in height . i thought they were too big for rabbit but what do i know lol
  19. as a relative newcomer to hunting and just been given permission to shoot , ferret, trap on a piece of land near me i went for a mooch this morning . although i know there were rabbits there a few years back there doesnt seem to be any evidence now . are rabbits likely to be out and about this time of year or are they mostly underground ? is there a best time to see them , i was going to have a look later on with my lamp . also found what i thought were fox holes in some large mounds of earth ,there were 3 seperate locations with 2 entrances/exits in each . the size of the holes are approx 7-8

  22. well ive just had her in the kitchen for a run around and she was loving it . still biting though having drawn blood again . i can hold her by scruff of neck and she yawns and seems relaxed . but as soon as any part of me is in range she snaps . hoping will get better in time .
