  4. I think my subscription for The CA is something like £5 per month which gives you insurance cover if nothing else and I have used there insurance when one of my terriers ended up scrapping with a spaniel whilst out, the guy tried to claim up to a 4 figure sum off me for vets bills CA dealt with it completely no hassle they were fantastic. Also they are the only large Pro Field-sports lobbying organization that have any clout whatsoever like Darcy says divided we fall. we should all be behind them because they represent our best chance of getting any sort of ban lifted.
  5. Thats the one mate lol Foxdropper do you have the make of the detector you've used
  6. You maybe right Corkman but there have been huntsman prosecuted on video evidence, the people filming in some cases were over a mile away! These Antis have one thing in mind discrediting at best prosecuting if at all possible and they will use any means to achieve it.
  7. That's exactly it Foxdropper its finding them, disposing of them isn't the problem. I was interested to know if anyone had used one and the pros and cons of different makes, what you need to pay for a decent one etc. Their seems a big difference in price on them.
  8. Every year we seem to get more and more attention from the antis, we've had trackers found on cars and found cameras on artificials every year they seem to be using more sophisticated equipment. Obviously we always work within the law but rather than being caught on camera and the footage being misinterpreted or misused would a covert camera detector be worth the investment, I've seen them for sale in the EDRD at £500, they're not exactly cheap, there are others on the internet and they vary in price dramatically. Has any one used one and are they worth considering.
  9. I find some of these anti Tory posts about trying to bring back hunting a bit hard to fathom what ever political party you back the long and short of it is that the Labour Party banned hunting with dogs purely to f##k over the Tories wrongly thinking all hunting people are toffs. If they get any amendment which is a big if, we what ever form of hunting we participate in it's got to be a move in the right direction although admittedly it won't help all of us. Just don't forget who the enemy really is!
  10. Have a triple terrier box and bespoke tool box both for the quad absolutely top draw light and super strong warm for the dogs nothing in price between them and ali, definitely wouldn't go back to ali.

  18. I can only comment on my own dealings with Deakin, all I can say is he made them on time and at the price we agreed. I find the size of the boxes spot on even for my biggest terrier, I'm out three times a week through the season and I haven't had so much as a screw come loose on my triple box
  19. Just picked up a double terrier box from Deakin on here, we brought it as a raffle prize for our Terrier and Lurcher show on Sunday (Oakley Hunt details in Gamefairs/events section), absolutely spot on I had triple off him some years back and is still going strong if you boys are looking for a good truck box for your terriers you won't go far wrong with Deakins good quality good value. Or if your free Sunday get down to the show and buy yourself a raffle ticket.
