  6. no where on this thread have i named anybody but even you must admit it does look a little suss buying it then within a week selling it at a healthy profit. i would never of known to be honest but it was brought to my attention by two PM's off here so somebody else obviously thought something of it. does this mean youb don't want the hancock book then?
  7. no decent offers before it goes back in the cupboard.
  8. no offence mate but just where do people get of making negative comments about something somebody else is just trying to sell?
  9. if this is too much? then make me a decent offer as i've no use for it. cheers h n' h but don't sell it on ebay for twice the price.

  12. 1987 signed 1st edition in very good condition.this was bought by my mate 20 years ago when he went to buy a dog off david hancock.i'm not sure how much its worth (any ideas?) so will consider offers. cheers, h&h
  13. if its to go on a PCP you'll probably get away with it but a spring gun i fancy will shake it to bits in time.
  14. the tx is a good quality spring rifle but a heavy lump to be carrying around all day.best buy mail order, around £270 new plus £10 postage, but still alot cheaper than a rip off gun shop.
  15. got a hawke MAP pro 4-16x50 for £65 picked up.has a little dint in the lip of the parralax ring at the front but otherwise in VGC.pm me your local area and i'll tell you if you're close. cheers, h&h
  16. identical cocking system, the ultra is shorter but the hornet is regulated so more and more consistant shots.both will do the business in the feild no probs.
  17. not having a dig but why would you buy a gun worth that much money when you don't even know that you'll like it.surely it makes sense to try and feel a gun to see if it suites before you buy one.
  18. so you don't like them then dougie? not in the same league as BAR or uttings are they.
  19. specailist at what they were bred to do,a drawing dog.
  20. i'd say thats about the right money, not cheap or not expensive.
  21. wheatens are way to big to get to ground in a regular earth averaging 30 to 40lb in weight, some even bigger.they can also be 'hot' around other dogs especaily when excited so are hard to work along side other dogs bushing etc. to me they are more of a specailist than an all rounder.
  22. any good WORKING strain of patterdale/lakeland/russel type are your best bet if you want a terrier that can do well at the all the tasks of a working terrier.IMHO.
