Bresser - 50-60 yards on a dark night, 150 yards+ on a night with a bit of moon, add an additional illuminator to it and it goes a bit further

I've got a Richter Optik 3-9x50IR on my 10/22 and a Simmons 6x40 on my bolt action anything along those lines will do i.e Hawke, Richter Optik, Bushnell etc - most non IR scopes tend to have thicker posts so will be easier to see the cross hairs under the lamp which is something to consider. Your right though many scopes available at that price range - I'd suggest having a look through a few to see what your eye prefers and what reticle type you like the look of

I got one - had it about 15 years - had to change the firing pins as someone bodged a repair job but apart from that it shoots well and hits what I aim at

Assuming you want a permanent hide then yes make a frame as the branches that you use to camoflage it will eventually die and will need replacing we built one using timber and board then painted it camo style but always used to dress it with nets & foilage when we used to shoot from it

I've had one for 4/5 years now and it's great - I can count the amount of jams it's had on one hand and it's had a fair few 1000 rounds through it for the price it's a good gun as said there are a few reports of bad un's but there are other guns out there that the same can be said about -
You need to have justification for an open licence - in the majority of cases that is - have a chat with your FEO I got mine changed to open after 18 months as I had several bits of land as well as land in other counties plus a few other things so I requested it and got it changed - my mate did the same and got knocked back but had less land than me

I've got a 3.5 24v Shogun and apart from the petrol consumption being shite it does the job - it's 2wd, 4wd has a couple of extra 4x4 settings diff lock etc etc etc - slap a set of 17" AT's on it and the ground clearance is excellent, loads of room and a massive sunroof that means toy can stand up in the back and shoot from it like a tank turret - lol If you do get a Disco get a one of these too http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/search/filter/mig/page/1

You need to start banging on some farmers doors and asking for permission, do a bit of networking, maybe advertise in a farming gazette type magazine - generally get yourself about asking because it will be highly unlikely it will come to you
