  1. I have two IBR rung male 05 Harris's sitting in weatherings, the pair was fed off the fist but never flown or hunted! I kept this pair back after my Gos was killed to take the landowners son out with a bird to keep him Happy, due to commitments I never did anything else with them! they're pretty wild now but will soon steady up with the right conditioning, they have only had food thrown to them during the moult in the weathering. The pair was kept in with their Parents for over 25 weeks before being pulled when the other youngsters went to Japan, if anyone wants them you can have the pair
  2. They're pretty wild but would'nt take long to get feeding off your fist, like I said they spent a good 25 weeks in the aviary and was pulled and left in weatherings! If anyone wanted to put the time in they will steady up like any bird, as you know what you put in is what you get out with any P/R bird but you certainly will have to do some work with them compared to most Harris's, but with some good conditioning and manning they'll be fine, to be Honest I'm desperate for the weathering space! I'll get some pic's of them fired up on the site. Cheers Tony

  7. Helllo Stollen Its got to be Balance for me, I'm a bit dubiouse about any electronics when it comes to accurate weighing! or temperature reading thermometers for breeding, electronics Fail and when they do its costly with birds, at least with Balance scales you know exactly where you stand, its the same with Temperature! a good accurate calibrated mercury Thermo or a good set of balance scales won't tell lies . I have a delicate set of Balance scales that will weigh low to 3 grams, this is plenty for any bird includeing a Musket. Cheers Tony
  8. Many thanks for the top posts Peter and Shaggy I have some 1 mil ultra pep tips hear which are very flexible that I use for AI on the hawks which is ideal, I use these to crop tube any young Hawks when they need some fluids so I'll try one of these should I need too, the Chaffy was calling alot this afternoon so I chopped some meal worm and dipped it in some cool boiled water! it begged pretty much straight away and thankfully has been calling for food since, hopefully its sorted now but if not I'll use a syringe as adviced , one more thing I wanted to ask is! is there a time when this cha
  9. Many Thanks for that mate. I have tried force feeding with some chick food and some of the Cee Dee stuff for rearing Canaries or whatever but it will not open its pecker, I can get a little just past its tongure but it still shakes its head and throws it out, perhaps the Cat has done some damage as this bird will not eat for some reason, as a last resort I'll crop tube it with a fine tip! hopefully it won't come to that! I was told when they're youngsters they get fed alot of Insects and hardley any seed? I can get some meal worm from the local pet shop too if this is ok for it? Cheers
  10. Hi All I picked up a chaffinch chick this afternoon what next doors cat had caught, the chick looks like it has just fledged the nest and thankfully totally unharmed, I have tried feeding it some egg food and CE-DE mix and a few Insects but it won't eat! I picked it up about 2pm so its now gone a fair while without any food, can anyone tell me what I should be doing and what food should I be getting down its neck? I have tried to open its beak to get some food down but it won't have it, any advice would be apreciated. Cheers Tony

  14. Wow does that bring back some memories. double splits, snake rolls. could'nt manage a back flip but could manage a few spins before ending up on my arse , I cringe when I think of them fecking great baggy jeans I used to wear with souly badges down the sides and Ox blood Polyveldts, I remember there would be a bundle of scooters all parked outside the lights of the Hall which looked the business, Its was the days Baldie when you could leave a Disco or All dayer/Nighter and always have a different bird on the back , Boy was these scooters Fanny Magnets in them days! most birds wanted a

    New birds ordered

Well I have four out at the moment some not far off going back with their Parents, 2 x pure Finnish and 2 x Finn x German, these will be ready in 10 weeks for customers to take then! there's a shelf life on P/R goshawks upto around 13 weeks Maximum after this they start to smash themsleves up in the aviary unless you're lucky, this year I'll take out the smallest Finn x German female out of the aviary for myself for Pheasant bashing, probably off the Passage male Father and the Bob Haddon finn female, both these birds proved themsleves time and time again in the field, the Guy who flew the Mot
