  1. Thats another good pic Fletch! we had a meet the end of last year on 17th Dec around some land in Fincham and near Methwold in Norfolk, take a look in the map and see what sort of distance it is for you. I'm taping up a keeper on a place called "The Hare Estate" to try and organise some payed days! its cracking oldy woldy land left the same for years and un spoilt, they hardly put much game down as its always seems to hold enough wild stock! there is also a old fashioned lodge to stay with some real ales which is used by the pointer lads when they have their trials, I'm sure if I can get some
  2. No probs mate you can have a good nose about when you come down, there should be a few young Gos's in the aviaries to wet your appertite ...
  3. Nice pic's Berkutchi , I have some very simular of a pals Tiercel getting to grips with the Black and white things and a Redleg, I was there when it checked on the Maggie from a cracking pitch and this was the end result .

  5. could anyone give me some advice on how to stop someone seeing when I am on line and sending messages through MSN? this particular lad lives on the pc and whenever I connect up a message pops up in the corner saying HI , the thing I can't understand is I havn't got him listed on my Buddies so I can't find his name to block or stop him from seeing when I'm on line, what I can't understand is how he knows when I'm connected? I'm not moaning about it as I like talking on Messenger but this lad pops up through out the day and even when the kids are on the PC, any advice from the computer Boffi
  6. Oh mate you're a lucky man with 15 years to go, I'm down to 8 ...
  7. Thats would be a cracking idea Berkutchi, I'm sure we could all find something to do in the evening after the meet Millet you old poser! I hope I look that good when I get to 50 , its funny how some birds get hooked on Eatenders ...
  8. You look a smoothy there Fletch my missus neice was round up until 5 mins ago and she's was drooling at that pic mate! and there was me thinking the guy in your Avitar was you .
  9. The top guy looks familular, It always surprises me how some woman take to Eagles without the slightest fear what so ever! I had a DVD here of a meet in czeck and the amount of woman flying Goldies and the way they dealt with Large quarry like Deer was oustanding, nice to see it though mate.... nice pic's .
  10. Very nice mate the last one looks like Lincs, but the second one with the perimeter fence looks much like Norfolk way, keep sticking them up mate as you find them ...
  11. God don't start me off on Imprints! I have had many a bundle in the years with Imprint flyers who have this strange notion that birds reared this way are superior to P/R birds . I flew a few Imprinted Spars Berkutchi and made a arse of some of the first one's but also had some half decent one's! but the best one's always seemed to be the creched Birds, as for flying any other Imprints the answer is No! it takes a certain kind of temerament to take up a Imprint Pere or Gos or whatever and I'm sorry if it upsets anyone but I can't deal with it or do I want to, I much prefer taking up a bird
  12. You're right mate it was Ronnies Bird "Marlyn" flown in the "Phantom Of The Forest" survival program, this was a young female that came off Bobs Orignal first off flying bird "Belen", apparantly Ronnie called her Marlyn cause she was a big Blonde , how right he was. The end sequence was a nice bit of footage when she plucked the Cock bird clean out fo the air in a long drawn out flight, these was big birds back then which are becoming hard to find these days! I flew "Belen" for a while when she was here and you could safely fly her near the 3lb mark at bunnie's, thats not bad for a P/R bir
  13. Hello Berkutchi You're a bit better looking than me mate , everything is heading south now from my head down wards . Bobs one of the Good guys in my mind and so is Ronny in the pic. he only lived a mile away from me and was a flying partner for a number of years! he packed up his Gos's in 2001 and moved around due to personal reasons but boy I miss him being about! I still here from him and had a card for the missus Birthday last week from India where he is staying, last year was the first time he didn't come and stay with us for a few years but hopefully he'll be over this year, the G
  14. Lots of decent Pictures being stuck up latley but none of actual Falconer and their birds? I thought it would be nice if we could see some pic's of lads and birds so we get a rough idea who's who , sean the hawker and Fletch don't seem to mind and I know what Turk looks like by his DVD's, f**k any worries about Anti's lets get them put up hey, just a couple of me manning two different Finn males and another taken in 96 when I was alot leaner and alot fitter with a couple of good genniuine old school falconers. I had a meet down here last year on Decemeber 17th, it would be nice to meet up
  15. Cracking old gun , I had a S Model right at the start of the 's and loved it but as I remember being not much older than a kid then it seemed heavy, one of the problems with them is they are tap loaded which can leak a bit sometimes, the other is if you're night shooting make sure you drop the pellet in so its seated properly! its a b*****d to see the skirt of the pellet in the loading chamber in poor light, having said that mine was accurate as hell having a fixed Barrel, is it .177 or .22? Cheers Jasper

    My Gos

Nice pic's Berkutchi! Its a Dark slate bird by the looks of the Photo Bordering on straight German or Finn x German, if its Finnish I apoligise as its deceiving, but it looks simular to a German P/R bird I once saw in the late 90's fly on a meet down here take a Hare no problem, I like the smaller females, but love the larger males ....
  17. I'll probably be Hammered for this but the Lanbers are a nice Gun for a good price, you'll pick up a good used M/C for under £400 if you shop about ...

They're a bit special sindasox! I want some of them now, I was looking a decent pair of walking boots too and favoured the Hunters but not now! them boots on that altberg site you put up are the Bollocks. I'll give the Argyle's a go and if they Knacker up after a few months I'll try what you did mate and see if I can get another pair .....
  19. Cracking pic's mate , should have put that one to rest for anyone doubting it ....
  20. To be honest with you Marco I think it was more than justified! there's a banner warning new and old posters about it yet there is still loads of this crap getting posted every day, now lets be honest I don't want to read it and I'm sure you don't either! its not like having a proper conversation with anyone is it! it comes across like we learnt in the Infants "Janet and John" Talk. The time team would have loved Baldies ancient Anglo Saxon post, It hit the point which we obviousley all understood or this conversation would'nt be happening now....
  21. nice one Borderterrier. I thought I was quite a yound 41 year old at heart and quite a groovy kind of chap , but I'm f****d if I can get my head round this Text stuff , it takes me longer to read this coded crap than a gennuine post written in proper text! or bye jove in the queens English , these days half the new generation are brought up in cyber land and have no idea how to write properly, but you give them a keyboard to press and they shit hot....

    Wellies

what a sad state of affairs when you can't get anything British thats decent anymore! I'm surprised when you rang the after sales service you didn't get through to someone in India or Pakistan like most of these companies use as call centres. I know what you're saying about Le Cham but in the past I have had some dealings with potential French customers after birds and to be Honest their attitude stunk! I'm not Tar'ing them all with the same brush by any account but I'm hopeing to go GB if I can, you would surely think this country that was once known as a agricultrual and Field sport Capi

    Wellies

I'm totaly brain dead mate expecially in the evenings after a drink! I was hopeing to keep the stiff upper lip and stick to some quality built in the British Isles, but do we build any quality these days? I'm always a bit dubiouse about french stuff! I still don't think that many of them like us, Admiral Nelson hit the nail on the head when he said "Never trust a frenchman".... Mind you if their wellies are good for a decent price I'll have to have a pair
