  1. Nice one Dale and congratulations to you both , I always said it would never change me when the kids came along but it did , I slowed down alot in the car for one and even to this day worry about them when they're not with me and generally calmed down in every way! the kids took prority for a while over anything else I wanted to do but now they're a bit older I'm let loose again ....
  2. Very good Moll!! can't you give Millett a few pointers on how to use that Camera .... Looks like the little Spar has found himself some good Hunting ground ... Jasper
  3. I'm now beggining to think about another springer and save some seriouse cash on a PCP! Having said that the Daystate PCP's look very nice, the Pro Sport in .177 would be ideal but apparantly AirArms only do them in a RightHand stock with a rolled over cheek peice, this makes it virtualy impossible for me to shoot comfortable being a lefthander....
  4. Can you imagine Roost shooting with it when the pigeons are flocking in , boy couldn't you get some rounds off and a few birds dropped in one sweep ......
  5. :welcomeani: to the site........
  6. Boy is this semi quick , its lets them go as fast as you can pull the trigger......
  7. I was given some old Field Mags and in one of them was a guy holding a Stoat he had hand reared! I must admit I would even to this day love to do one but finding them is the hard bit, Boy couldn't you have some fun shoving one down some Rat holes ....
  8. That explains it all then mate why alot of the newer BSA's I have seen have plastic triggers , I saw one of the later Airsporters before they fazed them out and the release catch on the cocking lever was made of plastic and so was the open sights, I can't slag them off for it though as I should think the Market these days is alot harder than when we was kids so they need to make cut backs, when I was a kid everyone seemed to read "Airgun World" and the talk at school was always about the new Airguns that just hit the Market! I remember seeing the field test on the Airsporter S and the
  9. Boy have you got some classic underlevers there Baldie , probably the very best of the bunch through out the years! I'm very enviouse mate , I have to take my Hat off to BSA back in them times as they produced some real classics from the Mercury's and Airspoters right through to the rolls royce "S" Models, its a real shame but I heard they have been taken over by Gammo or am I getting muddled up with Webley .....
  10. Very nice mate , You're now changing my mind instead of forking out a load of cash on a PCB ! I had some fun with my old springers in the past and still love them, the PCB's are alot of money for when you consider whats in them, Boy couldn't you get a nice Rimmy and scope for the price of a PCB without any other equipment....
  11. All the best mate ! any room in your suitcase ....

    warning

Whats a nightmare Kiya , I hope she makes a full recovery mate. the problem I have round this way is whenever their is any decent weather its not only Lawnmowers but every plonka seem to think its ideal to burn their rubbish, last year where my bottom avairy is set up my neighbour decided he would burn his Rubbish and litteraly filled the aviary through the top with smoke! you can moan at him but its like Rubber bullets, everything bouces off him!! when he went in I stuck the hose pipe over the fence and put it out ....
  13. Oh mate when you mentioned Pro Sport it brought a big Grin!! what a gun hey , I nearly had one a few years back in .177 but I'm a left hander and this gun had a right hand rolled over cheek peice but what a machine it was. The last springer I brought was a Webley Tomahawk in .177, I quite liked the gun but it wasn't in the class as the Pro Sport. I liked the break barrel version Airarms did to the Pro Elite! a lad round this way had one running at a tad over 19ft/lbs in .177, he could only run it on Bisley mags or Barracudas as most other pellets would either fly all over the place or brea
  14. I'm a big fan of the PCP rifle's which seems to have unriveld accuracy compared to the Spring Guns. on the other hand I shot a Old BSA Mercury S today in .177 belong to a mate and I must admit I loved it, talk about bring back some memories with that loud Twang of the spring with each shot ! plus to me it felt every bit like a rifle with some recoil although limited. you have to shoot springers like any gun with recoil where as the PCP is totally recoiless and in my opinion you have to work less on the shot.... I'm not slagging PCP's off in any way as I may be investing in one shortly, bu
  15. I think we have all done it some time or another, I did it plenty of times as a kid with all sorts of things from Grass snakes to Jackdaws and Kestrels and plenty more! I'm not saying I would do it now but my kids are just the same and fascinated, I very nearly had a Jackdaw for them last year but I know what the outcome would be! the Jackdaw would be loose land on top of one of the Hawk aviaries and it would be curtains and alot of tears ....
  16. I could do with that guy up this way cleaning some of the scum out of this town ...

    wolfs

All trainned and Hunted Birds when in condition will take on things that they would'nt normally Hunt in the wild, wether it would have been a successfull outcome without Human assistance is another matter? my money is on the wolf if they was left to it long enough.. Trainned Sparrowhawks will even tackle things alot lager than themselves like Cock Pheasants crows and even hang onto the odd Rabbit but keeping hold of them is another matter , the Wolf jumping up the horse looks a bit Suss in the video .. A guy in this area Andy Reeve used to fly a Spar out of the car window at crows, he
  18. I think its "Ashes to Ashes Dust to Dust" now IL , it seems we can now consider him cremated ... Beleive me Blackdug there was no Paranoia on this guys account! there was a bit more to it than just his posts which some Mods alot wiser than me picked up through his ISP and a whole lot more! Put it this way the guy certainly wasn't here as a hunter or a would be Hunter of any sort, he lit too many matches and got burnt .....
  19. :welcomeani: Hope you enjoy the forum mate....

By the sounds of it thats not him mate! he don't big himself up with crap and seemed a honest young lad to me on the times I met him, he squared it with me that he didn't like the Gos and was perhaps a bit frightend to go in with it due to its agression which alot of big willy falconers wouldn't be Honest about . I was a little bit disapointed with him I must admit as I wanted him to succeed and would have fired him over the semen but it wasn't to be, the other reason I don't think its him is he only lives with his mother who I think brought him up from a toddler, he's in his earl

He had a Imprint Finn x German female off me a couple of seasons ago for a breeding project! he sold it last year as he didn't like its aggression towards him in the breeding season, I would have taken that as a very good sign she's coming into condition, if anyone wants to see some aggression they should come and see my Imprint Gos's this time of the year.....

There is a young lad out Lincolnshire who brought in a Goldie last year called Richard Meldrum, this could well be the guy your're talking about......
