  6. well done, can't beat a handy one every so often.
  7. well done on the nice dig and tidy job on the back fill.
  8. some nice pic's lads. imho there are alot of dogs with no bull that will kill foxes. i've seen coursing whippets take them with aggression that you would be happy to see in a bigger dog.
  9. lucky and brummy they are two fine looking dogs ye have there looks like they will be fairly useful. they look to be fairly race and well built. good luck in the future with them.
  10. looks like a good season so far and some nice photo's. nice looking kennels you have too. well done an keep up the good work

  12. some nice looking dogs there and a nice bag of bunnies. sounds like a nice bit of hunting
  13. leave the terrier at home for a start he'd only be in the way. if your to wait for the perfect night you'd hardly go out at all. if your lurcher is only starting ask some of the lads in your area to bring you along to show and the dog how its done. and the rest will come with experence. good luck in the future and just stick with it
  14. sounds like ye had a nice day. well done and good hunting
  15. yeah meet plenty made up for last week we where in a new area and only meet one all day. have to take the good with the bad. that's what hunting is all about.
  16. thanks for replies lads. running dose not seem to scare other rabbits in fields often taken six from one field. as for my dogs never came home empty handed. always only run one dog at a time even pups. we average ten to twelve rabbits most nights and thats twice a week when moon is down. then again we're lucky with rabbits when the lads are over from wales they often say they see more in one field here then they'd see for half there season in wales.. y.i.s sionnach
  17. just a quick taught on styles of lamping most of the lads around where i live including me run with the lamp on the rabbit when we slip the dog. had a couple of lads over from wales hunting and lamping with me an they taught i was mad running with the dog. they just stand in the one spot.whats yer taughts? y.i.s sionnach
  18. just a short story of our day hunting sunday. we where drawing a couple of knocks and scrubby land with our mixed pack of beagle x's and terriers. had a good day meet about eleven or twelve foxes during the day. accounted for two with the lurchers and dug one with my russell cross bitch. got another couple of good spins with the lurchers but they live to run another day. didn't have the camera but got a nice handy one fot christmas and hopefully post some pic's soon. y.i.s sionnach
  19. i think if your hunting foxes try to keep them away from rabbits nothing worse than a two or three foot dig to a rabbit. but it happen's sometimes. never a perfect dog breed it, imho.
  20. very handy could save sometime looking for a dog. keep up the good work.
  21. a bit young imo, give her time
  22. try giving her a lite feed of beef mince and eggs in the morning followed by a complete food in evening. anything after that its up to the dog. good hunting sionnach.
  23. well done, are all the terriers fitted with b and f collars?
  24. was slow starting but starting to go well now dug 4 in last three weekends. we are using a small pack of cross breed beagles so they are helping run a couple in. :)
