    I built my aviary 3 years ago and got infested with red mite, used that diatomaceous earth and never had a problem since, I also put garlic and cider vinegar in the birds bathing water, works for me. whatever you try, good luck mate, them red mites are barstewards.

    the camera is a canon 500d with a canon ef 75-300 is lens. I've looked at the booklet but can't figure out most of it so don't bother with it now. I guess i'm a bit long in the tooth for new gadgets No matie, just need someone to show you the settings...ANY CANON USERS HERE TO HELP? Bet you have it set on using P. is so, need to be off that one to start with..get it on A....flying shots, I also use either centre weighted or spot metering..Someone like Mctuttle maybe able to help with the other settings you need to use on them canon thingys..we will get you there matie Heres a quick

    You're right mate, buzzards i can get ok but swallows, not a cat in hells chance. What is BIF? (birds in focus?)
