  2. i have gone hunting in the rain twice before with my springer gun. i just want to know if it's a good idea to get your gun wet. I dry it off and oil the non wood bits after use. is hunting and cocking your gun in the rain a good idea? pigeon plucker
  3. i would keep my gun in a case to not damage it but i think as long as it is not armed it's alright. i'm not sure wether it's legal or not but i do know it's not a good idea to have your gun out of it's case as pepole do get alarmed naturally when they see a rifle. pigoen plucker

  11. ar those rainbows in that picure? if so fly fishing is very good but once i tried WILD fly fishing, well that's better still! fishing for wild fish is much harder than firing lures into a stocked fishery where all the trout are idiots! once you've mastered fishry fishing move on to fishing WILD rivers and lakes for WILD brown trout, grayling and sea trout. wild fish are a lot more crafty!
  12. bsa make quality guns the bsa lightning is supposed to be very good.

  14. you say in a post on how o kll hares that hares are better to look a than shoot. i belive all animals are equal and shooting one is know differetn from shooting another speicaes.

  15. for guns (assuming your using an air rifle) it's quite simple. just find a field with rabbts in it, locate a burrow or "run" (where rabits pass through reguarly) wait next to a bush or tree (downwind from the spot you expect to see a rabbit) be very paitent. once the rabbit is in sight......well yu ist pretty sraight forwad from there. p.s always go for headshots (between the eye and the ear is perfect) and wait till the rabbit is at least 3 meters away from the burrow before you take the shot
  16. im thinking of getting a gun suitable for a 13 year old and able to kill rabbits and woodies. would a HW77, HW57 or a cometa fenix 400 do?
  17. do you live around the rivers teifi and towe? if so then i can see why you like fishing for sea trout so much- aaron

  18. try catching a bass on fly gear they really fight!

  20. i dont use all of that hi-tec stuff. tie a size 8 diercetly on to 10 pound mainline 3-4 BB or AAA shots up the the line about 2 ft cast it above a salmon lie and feel the line as it drifts down. the salmon will often play with the bait before atualy taking it so be paitent and wait for the slamon to take line then strike. 2 large lobworms or a bunch of brandlings will do. the best lies are the ones behind rocks or in eddies
