  1. You swine, that's my little spot too! I've got to fight my dad for it when we're both down there though! I've got plenty of other little spots dotted about the place here though, some decent spots for bait too... i got my biggest flatty off that spot! 3 ibs. i thought only one other person fishes that spot. and old man with three old bent wooden rods. sorry for giving away the spot mate!. i'll private message you a better spot wich even i (the blagger) would'nt tell! pigeon plucker.
  2. i know that rabbits are pests and not game so can be shot at any time iof the year but somebody told me not to shoot from the end of january onwards . something to do with there young? but i thought rabbits breed all year round. can someone clarify this. thanks, pigeon plucker
  3. sorry i ment the harbour wall. i've got a secret spot on that wall :secret: . everybody else goes right to the end and wacks out a load of feathers. the secret is to go at the base of the wall facing the old lifeboat ramp. gently cast out a sliding ledger rig with a small size 3/0 aberdeen bated with rag and you'll soon get a flatty. fish an hour before and after high tide . althiough i've always preferred rock fishing in st. davids for bass with fly.
  4. hi john, im 13 and have started air rifle hunting and snaring just before christmas. i would really like a trap making book as i like getting my own food for nearly free and also like doing DIY. Thanks, pigeon plucker
  5. do you always ask daft questions Aaron Simple answer, is that the mole can be a very serious pest. The farm im starting next week is absolutely black with mole hills, the grazing in the fields has been reduced by almost half, its that bad! This also causes problems with the sheep, there feet suffer and they get very clarty, but im no expert on them, so cant expand on that. This is the result of not bothering to do the moles for a few years, in an area that is well populated. They are also covering the medows which are used for growing hay to feed the livestock through the winter, and
  6. i love fly fishing for grayling and trout on a crisp autumn sunshiny morning. i also love hide shooting and stalking for rabbits and tree rat with an air rifle (bsa lightining xl). don't have any dogs or ferrtes but would love to dogging for rabbits with a terrier or lurcher. but above all nothing can beat the meal you get afterwards wether it be trout from the river, rabbit from the field or woody from the forest pigeon plucker
  7. manorbier, st.davids, tenby breakwater there are loads of spots in pemb. my personal fav is a spot in carfai bay in st davids chuck out some feathers off the rock 100's of fat mackerel. also on the rocks on the left side o carfai bay are amizinglyabundant with bass. i,ve fly fished for them off the. although come an hour brfore and after hight tide to avoid hooking divers!
  8. why do pepole trap moles? you can't eat them, they're native and they don't do anything really bad.
  9. im 13 and the bsa lightning xl shoots like a dream. it's light and not barrel heavy. it can tackle rabbits and tree rats. also you'll need a scope. i bought a SMK mil-dot air rifle scope 4x40. its good for me but you might need something more powerful. my whole kit costed £335. if you can afford somethiong over £400 then go for a good pcp. pigeon plucker
