My dogs have always got their coats on, their own...but i must admit my wife keeps threatening to buy coats for them. I can see them getting ripped on barbed wire very quickly if she does.

I always knew you were a fairweather hunter Celt never seen you out in the rain yet <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Keeps I take offence to this ..I hunt any time. Yesterday I had to fly to Ireland for a family funeral, the funeral was'nt to 2pm. So we had a couple of hours before hand 2 foxes both bolted by my lakies brother, shot and retrieved by brothers lurcher. This morning we have hunted up 2 batches of gorse where a lambkiller has been lying up and shot her after an hour again retrieved by the lurcher, only out for a 3 hours as getting my flight back later....and yes

Smudge The pup looks nice an racey in build, what breeding is it, 3/4? In your line of work wouldn't a black lab be more suitable;-) ?? One of the problems you might have is if you usually walk the dogs over the fields, like you do? They are a bit dubious of traffic. My lakie is ok with cars but buses or lorries passing put him right off. So it might be a good idea to walk it in and around town. All the best with your pup. Celt

Keeps You've got me stumped with the middle picture, I recognise the rest of the places but cannot recall where that is. I put two deer up the other evening walking my pair. If you need a hand next time take my pair with you . Cheers Celt

We have always found a terrier of 13-15inch and 18-25lb, seems to do the best, they can put up with multiple hard digs. These 14lb and 14inch terriers which are meant to be the ideal are worryingly light in my opinion. Celt

Yep I have notice alot of ginger rabbits since the ban. I am glad we have a new quarry. A few ginger bunnies going to get dealt with next week in eire. Celt

Pat You probably have dropped on your feet there, my brother has a piece of permission which backs on to a fish processing plant, the land is mainly gorse with sandy banks. It is fox city, as is anywhere like that. Hope your dogs are fit. Celt
