  1. Sounds like she had a big heart, all the best dogs do on and off the field, RIP
  2. i heard on the news that the guy was walking round like he was someone special getting involved in everything, sounds very like ian huntley when soham happened. not casting judgement but strange. The reporter for the mirror told the police that he was a bit strange and odd. As a fatheer of one daughter and another due in 10 weeks, I think i would want to fill the fella in if he is guilty. I feel sorry for the younger kids in that family, they will never be let out on their own ever.
  3. the dog sounded stressed but they need to know who is boss. I hear you sying that dig and kid would not be left alone but it will happen and then how would you feel? Get a kennel or get rid
  4. this fight has a ring of leonard vs duran frst time round. I hope mayweather trys to go toe to toe with oscar, if so a 6th round ko to oscar.

  10. Wife My brothers old dog does exactly that , he hunts up marks to ground, if the game is fiesty he helps the draw and on the bolt if we only have one gun out he looks after the other side if you know what i mean. He is nearly eight now and still doing well

  12. Manager in a factory, with couple of hundred working for me. Not bad keeps wolf from the door
  13. unlucky, we get reminded from time to time how tough a game it is. keep going
  14. Life looks good for terriers in the wild east. Don't like the trials much but the jadgs look handy dogs Celt
  15. As usual it is the owner at fault, for f**Ks sake a dog you have been warned about with a little kid. God bless the little girl. How the family must be feeling, mum and dad leaving with granny for a night out, uncle who owned the dog, the must feel awful. Lets hope some proper action is taken, however at the moment my thoughts are wiht the girls parents and grandmother. Celt
  16. I agree with Taffy that I prefer a decent terrier and a shotgun at the draw, but a lurcher to mark and pick up bolters. With the shotgun it is handy to have a special load for hole jobs, 1 or two pieces of shot with a low powder charge as the barrel is usually on the skull. Celt
  17. Pedigree dogs can work, I have seen a kc lakeland do a decent job in a shallow set, 2 days later didn't want to know maybe fce was still a bit sore from the nips it took on first time out. I wouldn't want to rely on them day in day out. like rest of hte lads say stick wit hthe proven stuff it can be difficult enough with them without taking extra risks Celt
  18. diggit looks like your daughter had her christmas and birthday all at one with all those pups. A few tears me thingks when them pups are ready for new homes. Great looking parents I am sure they will be fine pups Celt
  19. Smoothrun. I was thinking the same at 25 pounds it is a big fox size, so a good foxing lurcher you would hope could handle that. The 35lb one might be a bigger problem, that would be about springer size wouldn't it. I can remember a post on an old site of dessie mackin having dug a coyote with a red lakeland, what are peoples views. happy new year Celt
  20. Novel use for a springer, I have seen a collie and a collie terrier cross draw a fox but never a springer , well done.

    The Emerald Isle

I am from ireland and have just moved back with english wife and 2 kids. Do not underestimate the differences in culture, you might laugh but things are dealt with differently here. Do not underestimate the house prices, they are crazy too. Good sides, all the hunting I am doing now and great food/drink so up to you Celt
