    Not sure on long range target shooting but for vermin control 204 well what a cracking round I load my own 39gr SBK and shoot a hell of a lot of foxes with it. I've shot 11 so far this week all with the 204 . Would I use this calibre if I didn't shoot some built up areas im not sure. But what I do like is the bullet very rarely exits the fox which is great reasurement some times. It certainly knocks them down but and its a big but you have to be a little more shot placement critical as it's not always a case of banging cross hairs on fox and pulling trigger like a lot of YouTube clips otherwis

    H4895 I've found works in my 204 Tikka also superbly as well as 243. To be as bad as you say I'm thinking there is something else a miss.have you checked all screws fittings etc . Try another scope. I litterly throw my loads together for foxes an hour before going out in a rush and the Tikka usually responds and throws them everytime usually in right direction. The H4895 should do the trick .

    Yeah reloaded I've got same rifle and calibre shot hundreds upon hundreds Roe with this rifle great thing it is. I've reloaded 58gr vmax ,65gr vmax H4895 seems to work very good for 243. Just neck sized one shot cases and they were hole on hole with 58gr vmax.

    Just come across this and news to me today,not good. I have been stalking Roe for approx 30yrs , spending every year stalking and shooting roe in Scotland.I have been towing with the idea of taking my dsc1+2 not because i want to but feel that i may have to. We have a Larder and do butcher all deer to a pretty good level. Shooting about 400-450+ roe bucks personally over my time stalking time ,i cant believe what im reading! I dont have any Cert and know a few stalkers exactly same . So are you saying that dsc level 1+2 are going to be counted or will it be a new exam or test.

    My hi-lux pickup needed new tyres as the All Terrain were getting down a bit,i opted to go slightly wider from 205 to 235 as these are more readily available thats all. I went for the Insa Dakaar Mud Teerains and cant believe the grip,same pattern as BF Goodrich.I dont need 4wd half the time it goes most places i would have needed 4wd without any trouble in 2wd ,slight bit of road noise but god are they good.Its unstoppable and for the price they are the best remoulds on the market apparently using bfg sidewalls.
