i think five years it is a long time and a lot can change in someone in that amount of time, especially mentally. may our thoughts and prayers be with the victims families after such a disaster and hope nothing like this happens again.
this is really bad news, does anyone know if the gun he is using is legally held by himself?
no doubt there will be tighter restrictions to come now thanks to another idiot spoiling things for the good people

thanks sage. i have now got my stock bare and as smooth as glass. i got a birchwood casey refinishing kit on its way. just been talking with my mate about the kit, he says his came up loads better than the factory Finnish. i been searching this site for stock refinishing posts but no one seems interested, i cant understand why - it seems a great way to rejuvenate an old favorite from the cabinet into great condition.
i have just bought a aya yoeman with pistol grip and beavertail forend that's a bit battered on the wood but the metalwork is pristine. iv stripped all the varnish off and wet towel and ironed all the dinks out the wood. iv just got two days drying time and then glass papering the stock. then I'm applying the birchwood casey finishing kit. has anyone done this? what was the Finnish like and any tips? atb tomb

As earth said is a good guide. Try fish on one rod and worms on another to see if they are feeding on invertabrates or predatory and eating fish, then swap both rods to whats working, also look for holes / shelfs in the lake bed (if you trying on a lake)
I want to take my whippet out with me when I'm out and about but every time she gets in the car she drools badly and is sick within minutes. I put the window down to give her plenty of fresh air too. She is 3 months old at the moment so I'm hoping she might grow out of this. Does anyone know of anything i can do to help stop this?
Cheers.

They where raw shelled king prawns from Morrison's, quite big too - about the size of a gudgeon. I just bent them straight and threaded the head end round a size 4 hook. I had more luck on them than with the roach head / tail sections. I'm waiting for river season to start too!
