  12. ive had about 6 2 pounders and i would rather catch a nice 2 pounder than a 20 pound carp any day
  13. id say around the two pound mark, cracking fish there mate
  14. only got one front drag and i dont want another much prefer rear drag aswell
  15. a'up john asking a question doesnt make you stupid, its how you learn. ive asked loads of questions on this site and answered some to, thats what we,re here for. good luck with your dog
  16. i suppose it is just a fur colour, but noone i know will work them or even give them kennel space ~ i think the chocolate colour is a sign of dodgy genetics...someone smarter should be able to tell you. ive personally never seen a goodun. you want to beat AND pick up? is this for rough shooting or a driven shoot? if its driven and you want to do both, get two dogs. it will be for driven and picking up, would it be confusing for the dog to do both? and would you agree with the advise i was given about a lab being a 1st dog? plus does it matter if the dog is kc reg? i would prefere it to be
  17. your not wrong barbus, i prefer a through action rod for most uses and the right tool for the job does help but i still say that i can pretty much do most fishing within reason with a non specific rod but give me a crap reel with an equaly crap clutch and it make life quite difficult, i dont mind back winding but im not great with it as im used to using the clutch.
  18. hi guys in the near future im looking at getting a working dog for beating/picking up and was advised to get a lab even though springers are suposed to be better and was just wandering why you would say chocolate labs are more stupid than black and yellows? isnt it just a fur colour?
  19. f**k me i think i need to learn some of that polish technique. you wanna let on?
  20. i dont really have a favourite rod but i think its more important to have a decent reel then a good rod. i brought a korum 3g multi feeder a few months back and although it looks, feels and plays fish really nicely... its shit! the build quality is crap. after 3 outings the coller on the reel seat seperated from the foregrip and a couple of weeks ago the cork on the same foregrip has split now korum have a 3yr guarantee but you have to pay £20 per section which is great if i broke it but it was a manufacturing fault. anyway what im trying to say is i can do the same job on a 10 pound
  21. those things are tiny and bloody expensive but i suppose you get what you pay for and im not sure about loosing any on a session, dont think i could find one if it was in my pocket
