5/6 weeks ago i was having trouble with my 8 1/2 month old collie/grey cross retrieving i went back to basics with the dummy she was coming on great bringing it back no trouble at all .i took her out ferreting today had a good day got 20 but what pissed me off was a rabbit shot out from a bolt hole that we missed with the nets the bitch nailed it after about 30 yds but what she did was run off with the rabbit and would not retrieve it one bit no matter how much praise i gave her she didnt want to give the rabbit up any advice what to do next would be great

any nights going on like that in lincoln area count me in if there is -
dont want to get in slanging match .a couple years ago my best mates dad was a copper retired now he told me what the cops do around lincoln where i live regarding drink drivers.what they used to do was go in pub car parks and put floursent stickers on car bumbers then when they see the stickers on cars they new that car had been in a pub then pull em .im not sticking up for drink drivers they deserve what they get but i think coppers where bit wrong doing that way

i took advice from labsnlurchers of this site about retrieving my lurcher was messing about with retrieving coming half way generally pissing about.stuck with the dummy coming on great i could throw dummy 30 yds or more she would bring it back no probs soon as she gets a rabbit comes half way if im lucky generally pissing about with it .whats everbody advice on what to do next .shes 9 month old collie/grey cross

was going to go out ferreting this morning decided against it was snowing like hell .so i will take the dog for a mooch down the fields instead .has the snow put any you lot off today

i was having trouble with my young lurcher with retrieving.i had a look at labsnlurchers post on retrieving and i gave it ago tonight,well what can i say after 10 mins i could not believe everything she said worked i walked into my house with massive smile on my face.so a big thanks to labsnlurcher she knows what shes on with.

what age do you think is best to start a dog on lamp mines 8 months old.been told by some lads get her on it now and others leave her till shes a year old some says leave her till next season.im not going to rush her as dont want to ruin her before shes even started.shes had a few droppers when out ferreting she coped ok with them

at the start of the season i was struggling to get some permission after a few knocks on some doors got a small bit of land to work my ferrets and dog.but since then i,ve had the neighbouring farmers ask me to do there land aswell.so it just shows to keep trying dont give up it does pay off.i got some more today after race horse trainer saw me ferreting today and asked me to do his gallops for him .happy days
