went out today with my my bitch for abit of ferreting for couple of hours i kept the dog on lead just let her watch my mates older dog at work we ended up with a dozen rabbits.on way back to van let dogs of for a run round been walking abit when a rabbit jumped up right in front of my 6 month bitch she only ran after for about 20 yards and nailed it i was well chuffed great feeling still smiling now

to enjoy my new young dog and get out with the ferrets and try and get the dog to retrieve the little fecker

had my 6 month old collie x now for about a month now really pleased with her so far .im really pleased with her in sitting ,recall ,staying but still she not showing any interest in retrieving tried dummys, skins, balls everything she sometimes rags them about the garden but to bring them nothing just wondered if anyone can give me any ideas on what to do next.

just wondering what diet everyone feeds there 6 month old lurchers on .what feed how much and how many times aday just be interested to see what different diets everyone uses

one of my 4 jills is losing its fur on top of her head and neck and on her belly.ive checked her over for mites etc nothing found the other 3 are fine shes fit and healthy eating ok is it shes just moulting .thanks for any advice

shes settling in a treat now different dog to a fortnight ago getting more confident each day think she should make 23/24 well pleased with her hope she can do the biz in the future.we named her cady

this is my dog kennel and ferret set up, 20 ft long, 5 ft wide. on the left is the ferret court, 5 ft long, plenty of room for the ferrets, the rest is all dog kennel and run. what do you think?

6 of us going on the saturday now.was going to take dogs but seen weather forcast its going to be red hot so will leave dogs at home now.

thanks for advice lads.i wasnt expecting her to work or any thing.just wanted her to come out with me for the morning.i went out with another lad and his dog she was very steady didnt bother with ferrets or get in the way at all was just worried she didnt show any interest when rabbits was bolting like you say it will click one day i hope .

went out for the fist time today with my 6 month old lurcher ferreting shes steady around ferrets no problem there .thing that concered me was that she didnt seem interested one bit in the rabbits that were bolting.shes naturally laid back but she seems to lack any drive . just worried that she wont chase when i get her on the lamp.just wondered if some lurchers wont chase and catch or will it just click one day any advice on what to do next woukld be great shes collie/grey x wheaton/grey its first time today that she seen a rabbit cheers lads

the new pup settling in ok finding her feet now in her new home.shes collie/grey x wheaton/grey 5 months old .only been with me since saturday but she doing great starting to get a bond with her now.shes laid back as hell though but hoping after a month or so she should of come out her shell more.will put pics up sometime

finally picked up my new bitch yesterday 260 mile round trip but well worth it.shes collie/greyhound x wheaton/greyhound 5 months old cant wait to get out with her this season will put some pics up sometime

i was at a show couple of weeks back i bumped into some old faces from the good old coursing days.was nice to catch up with them and chat about are days on the lincs fens.does anyone else see some old faces who you havent seen for a while

kept 2 kits back this year ive been handling them all the time ive had the odd nip of them thats all stopped now but when im handling them they wriggle like mad they never try to bite at all just hoping they will grow out of it in time any ideas
